Poor girl - imagine how much shock she must be in

Just checking out the news on the internet re the other main story of the day and read this:

Mr Moore said sources indicated Mr Skase wanted to be buried in Australia.

Ironic don't you think?

Pixie says she will never return to Australia......what a sad loss that will be for all of us left here. Anyway good old Pixie is having him cremated and tossed into the harbour over there in Spain.

There will be a lot of people that will want proof of his death, they will not want to take the word of the Spanish Government, especially not after they appeared to be helping him for all of these years.

I think a lot of the people that Skase ripped off for millions will want to know for sure if it is him or not. Especially after all the years that he is supposed to have had lung disease and the was shown not to be true, and then he had something else that was a fraud, so who is to say that he has not faked this death as well.

If it is true this time, then all I can say is that he finally got what was coming to him.

I'm hearing you and I totally agree!

Did you ever watch a show a few years back called 'Denton'? (hosted by Andrew Denton of course) He did a segment over a couple of shows where people could ring in to a 0055 # and the proceeds would go towards hiring a bounty hunter from the US to smuggle him back! This was no joke and there was quite a bit of publicity about it at the time. They even interviewed the bounty hunter and raised enough money and looked all set until that Levach (sp?) guy stepped in and stopped it! It was very funny stuff though! I don't have to tell you that I made the call!

...Ah well, you know me - queen of stating the obvious!

The money they have spent will end up being more than what he owes - if it hasn't happened already. What a waste

Anyhoo - gotta fly. I have to face the dirty dishes piling up in the sink...

Later!

I have to tell you a funny story. I got a phone call today from the government survey line for the BAS and GST.

Okay that is fine I will answer the questions, when the woman had finished asking me everything and I had answered her, she says that her supervisor may need to call me and verify that she had indeed spoken to me and that she had not just made up the answers. Then she started to laugh, and she says, ' I really don't think my supervisor will contact you, because no one could possibly make up answers like these'.

Maybe I was a little too honest for them. But she did ask my views and I gave them, with both barrells.

Hi Zilvy, They are definately there. They look like a line under a word or group of words that might be subject to a spell checker.
I haven't even had a grog tonight so it can't be that!

Now Bob I want you to close your eyes and repeat after me, I am getting very sleepy, very sleepy....this too shall pass!

Maybe there is a hacker in Melbourne just itchin to send you round the bend. We will get to the bottom of this.

In the meantime, earlier in the AM for me that would have been 3AM I was amusing myself by searching the internet for items about Egypt...and I found some very interesting articles with links...Now remember I had had no sleep since the morning before and I clicke on one of these links and low and behold here is what I saw.

Outtakes of History -- 1

The inhabitants of Egypt were called mummies. They lived in the Sarah Dessert and travelled by Camelot. The climate of the Sarah is such that the inhabitants have to live elsewhere, so certain areas of the dessert are cultivated by irritation. The Egyptians built the Pyramids in the shape of a huge triangular cube. The Pyramids are arange of mountains between France and Spain.
This must have been a school paper! But, I kept reading it trying to figure out what the h*!! they were talking about...Funny!!

Thanks for the email Bob, I do not understand how this can be done. It makes me mad that some lower form of life can invade our posts in this way.

I have to admit that it is a bit of a shock to see it in the email. When I put the cursor to those words you mentioned it came up yellow and was a link about credit cards.

Hi Gravid, Youv'e got it in one. A Census.
At least that's what they tell us.
What it really means is that the governments computor has broken again and they've lost their data base.
Until they count us they don't know how much to tax us to make up their deficit!

Hi gravid, no that was not a census. We actually have to do our census tomorrow or it is almost today now.

What I was talking about is a survey on our Business Activity Statements ( BAS ) I am not very fond of these things, they are a big pain and cause me no end of drama. So when I am asked stupid questions about them I take full advantage and tell the power that be what I think about it all.

nettak, Nope. there gone. Whatever it is must only work on "keywords".
I'm going to have to go through this computor with a tooth comb and try and find out whats been implanted on it.
It doesn't seem to affect anything at all, it's just a nuisance.
I'd better apologise to A/W. I might have let rip at the wrong people!

It may not be you alone you know, and how do we know where it is coming from. I got the shock of my life when I saw that in the email. What I am saying is that it may not be your computer, it could very well be some smart arse playing games somewhere.

I am glad that it is gone anyway.

Oh well it was a bit of excitment for the evening. LOL

I really do need to learn to spell.

Hi jt, This thread started many months ago and was called Who Stays Up The Latest.
It was started in the early hours of a cold New York morning by super star and good mate nycrocker.
It seems to fill a niche for whacko night owls!

Hi jt, you can come on in anytime you please, everyone is welcome.

WSUTL is for Who Stays Up The Latest. It was originally for those of us that are late posters the one's posting when most others are in bed, well to be honest it was not really late for us Australians' but for some of the American posters it was the early hours of the morning.

For everyones information. I have just sent the following email to A/W regarding last nights Click Link fiasco.

For your information.
Last night I posted regarding words in threads being highlighted in posters threads were actually clickable links to advertising websites.
I have spent some time investigating how this happened and have discovered that the originator of this underhand advertising is
www.ezula.com
The program piggybacked itself into my computor on the back of a Microsoft download and appears in the program manager as a program called Top Text.
It may be prudent to issue some sort of warning to other A/W users to avoid this like the plague.
I have removed this program from my computor and the click links have now dissapeared when I read posters comments.
Best Regards,

Bob, Downunder but never down.
