I didn't think I would be able to watch, but tonight UPN came in better than it has in years! I was able to watch the whole thing without any "snow-outs" and I only had one ghost image to try and ingnore. Worked in with the "temporal" displacement affects right nicely!

I liked it overall, but they did have a couple of "quantum leaps" that left me going huh??? Still not sure what some of it was about....

Not bad but the crew abviosly needs some training at close in and dirty. Once their phasor has been kicked away they need some lessons on eye gouging, biting, and bone breaking. A little box cutter or a big ugky pig sticker might be nice also for when your batteries run down.

What I don't understand is how the Klingon command (or whoever the Klingons were that were on Kronos) knew the 'message' was in his *blood*??

Overall I enjoyed it. I understand the 'Salibans' (sp?) are going to be regular villains (or so I was told).

And that one Vulcan did look very familiar but I couldn't place him.

Definite cheesecake factor - sort of fun though. Should draw in all the 20-something males <grin> The vulcan lady definitely has impressive...lips.

Ditto the others. That shower scene was definitely an integral part of the plot. Yep.

Good old Star Trek. They don't skimp on the T&A.

---gads, had to a school meeting tonight, time to pop some popcorn and cozy up with my video machine...to go where no one has gone before. To Infinity and Beyond (oops--wrong quote, wrong show)

Tidbit for Seven of Nine fans....you can catch Jerri Ryan in a new role on Boston Public starting next Monday.

I enjoyed it, overall. I ahve the feeling that some of this evening's plot holes were purposeful & will be "filled" in future episodes.

Definitely more "cheesecake" but these days that's de rigueur. For once there was a bit of beefcake for female watchers, too. Noticed that when the vulcan & the crewman were putting on the lotion for their light treatment she was definitely, ah, arousing his interest...

microbes: Nope, she and her crew made it home in the finale. That was the only episode I watched after the first 5 or 6.

"Captain Janeway" made it back, but what happened to "Admiral Janeway". Last we saw of her, she was with the borg queen. Did she cease to exist because of the temporal loop, or does she now exit in two places, like Tasha Yar?

It looks like we will see more (if that's possible ) of our vulcan science officer.

Hmm, some observations:

Totally logical vulcan female goes out and buys herself some larger breasts, but forgets to pick up some bras. Right...

Do we get to see Scott Bakula in his skivies on every show? Keeping fingers crossed...

Is the small asian women going to fuss and whine on every show? Hope not...but I do admire her "hearing of a dog". For her, it's an asset, for me, an irritation.

What was with the Captain's "Let's Go" command when they first got underway? "Let's Go"?????

As usual, the Doctor's character has tons of promise. I am also glad there is no holodeck to play fast and loose with the Prime Directive and or Time Travel. Since there is a Star Fleet, but no Federation of Planets yet, I suppose there isn't a "Prime Directive" anyway, but the holodeck became the crutch of writers without ideas.

We liked it for the most part except for the excess nipplage.

or Time Travel.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Wheren't the "Salibans" taking orders from someone in the future?

Oh Kay. I guess this depends on how you're wired...

I wonder if there will be a repeat of the first show? Seems AFTER it aired here, the locals had a hissy fit and our local cable company decided they would carry it. But this was AFTER it showed. So, now Im wondering if they will show it again, the network, for those who missed it?

Our local UPN station shows each episode on Wendsday Evening, and late Saturday night. I don't know if they all do or not.

I missed most of the second half because the dang phone kept ringing off the hook and my mother just will not take a hint! I hope they re-run it.

Our local UPN is running the show again on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 eastern time. They used to rerun them at 8 or 9 in the evening, so I'm not sure what's up with the afternoon time slot. Our vcr messed up while taping it, so we get another shot at it.

I'm only going to watch for the scene with Scott Bakula in his skivvies.

Edited to add...did anyone else notice the similarity between "Saliban", the freckled bad guys, and "Taliban"?

Bunch of whiney Gen-X posers and pouters + Bakkula for the ladies, and the worst writing since, well...since Voyager. Wouldn't last 10 minutes against the Taliban, even with those phasers.

Great for the ages most of you were 10 to 35 years ago....

Just in case anybody missed it, it looks like they are rerunning the pilot episode tonight. Here in Boston it'll be on UPN )Channel 38) at 8:00.
