Most of us post using an alias (yes, even me), and I thought it would be fun for the new kids if we go ahead and tell our FIRST names. Some were always obvious, like Barry (we sure miss him) Barris. But for the rest of us, they are not so obvious.

So I'll go first. Many of you already know this, but my name is not Muriel. It's Penny. Muriel is my evil twin.

Ok, who is next?

Sorry but since there are only 2 people in my state with the same given name I might as well post my address and social security number while I am at it.

Gravid: How could you possibly know that?

Yeager: That's weird because my daughter's married name is Yerger.

I can't post my real name because it's a well known commercial name. Really it is!

Muriel ---

Run an online check of public records.
If there is a third with my name he does not own property, run a business, drive a car, have a listed phone, bid on public sales, apply for loans, hold credit cards, or hold a professional license, get married, use a passport or vote. So he might as well not exist.
I suppose one could be a comatose patient in a nursing home brought in from out of state and I would not know.

Gravid: That sounds like a cool thing to do. How would I do that? I'm in Ohio.

Yeager: Is your real name Penny Twinkie?

Muriel - Go to http://www.infospace.com and check out the people searches.

You will be offered various free and paid searches. You can even check death records which is a easy first step in generating a false identity. Just in case you would like to slink off in a month or so to the Turks and Caicos Islands and make a big deposit.
They have swiss style banking, no income tax no property tax and no sales tax. But a work and residency permit does require a generous "contribution to the local economy".

yeager - I am with book. Sometimes it feels like being with child (I know - how do I know) and I think it will never be born, but it seemed appropo the day I needed an ID. I keep adding on both ends of the story until I may have to divide it to make it fit in a printable size, and I even dream about it.
I went to epublish.com and have looked at the stories posted there and eventually I am going to post some material there, but I am greatly encouraged because about 90 % of the material there is not polished enough to publish. Some of it reads like homework for middle school children. Some of it approuches the quality of the Dirk Pitt novels by Clive Cussler which frnkly are for people who see the world as simple and easily believe the shallow stereotypical characters presented that defy authority without consequence and rush past problems with miraculous ease. I can do a LOT better than that right now, and am trying to find time to write several afternoons a week. One problem I have is that I started a second book that was too good not to at least start collecting scenes and ideas for as they occur.

Did you think it was literal?

Only kidding, I was soooo unoriginal when I started using the boards, that I just gave my life story in my "screen" name.

The only thing "new" I can add is I am from a tiny town in TEXAS. It's one of those towns that if you found us, that means you are probably lost.
