Yahoo is just a glorified tag sale in most catagories. Few items I list sell and few items that sell have more than one bidder.
The same items sell 75% of the time on ebay with an average of 5-7 bidders with the exact same starting price.
Ebay has it's problems too but I sure wouldn't pay to list on Yahoo with the stingy buyers there.
Sometimes you get what you pay for. With Yahoo I'm affraid you will get much less.
If Yahoos fees are even close to Ebays only a dolt would list there and most people know it.

This category was way up over 4100 plus Christmas week.
The week AFTER Christmas was my best sales ever, and I've been doing this almost 2 years. Guess it was to good to last.

All her sales have been on ebay.
Has never sold anything on Yahoo.<font color=red> False, check out my past auctions on Yahoo.<font color=black>
Bought 2 items on Yahoo, one from me. Never paid. I left glowing feedback when auction closed because I though she would pay. Never happened.<font color=red>False again. I was told I could just "have" this item because it was damaged. However, before I could get it, I was bitten by a Junk Yard Dog! <font color=black> And this has no bearing on my interest in yahoo site or any other auction site. I never said where my Christmas sales did well and it doesn't metter. What matters is that Yahoo has let sellers & bidders alike down. Isn't that what these threads are all about? NOT about calling people "trolls" and "dimwits", and sending threatening emails. This is about finding a fair, free & honest site that will benefit us all. Or am I mistaken?

As you can see by my last post, I am not real familiar with this board or the way it works, however, I stand by what I posted, even if I can't change font colors! LOL I care.....about EVERYONE having a free, fair & honest auction site.

horizonod- So what you're saying is that anyone who will choose to list on Yahoo over Ebay is a dolt? I certainly beg to differ. Ebay is down A LOT, yahoo is almost never down. Yahoo booksellers don't have to deal with the stupid half.com banner ad BS that Ebay booksellers do. And Yahoo sellers like myself have repeat customers. I personally have a half dozen people with my Yahoo pages bookmarked.
I used to sell the same item over and over again both on Ebay & Yahoo. I'd list it 1st bid wins on Yahoo for $24.99 and on Ebay for a 10 day auction starting an $9.99 (to save fees.) on Yahoo it would usually close with a winner within 48 hours. On Ebay it would rarely go above $24.99 and I had to wait 10 days for the auction to end, plus I had to pay Ebay fees on top of that.
So don't tell me I'm such a dolt for listing on Yahoo. Maybe you're selling in a category that doesn't do well on Yahoo, and that's understandable, but that doesn't mean everyone else is.
What I really think we all need is a viable alternative to ebay. Yes, I list on Ebay too, but I am certainly not going to rely on them for 100% of my income. That is just too risky in my honest opinion.

heyheyjan,
It appears you may be using two IDs for posting purposes. Are you aware that is a violation of the AuctionWatch CGs? We only allow one posting ID per person.

I am only one person & one ID. My daughter also posts under her id. Is that legal or not? Please advise. AND what is this? Seems this thread had gotten far from the real purpose, which I thought was to find a solution to the YAHOO problem and hopefully come up with a new site that would benefit us all. YES OR NO??
