yes. "they say" a lot of things to cover the truth.
If he was alone as 'they say', then how did anyone know that he fainted?
Is he claiming the vapors like a harlequin drama queen?
Or was he discovered passed out on the floor?
Good thing he wasn't smoking. THAT house has already been burned once, and once is enough.

In any case "they" probably know more than anyone on this board because "we" are all united in that "we" know nothing.
Now of course, it is POSSIBLE that bin Laden commandeered a helicopter and swooped down and managed to bypass all the security measures and strike a glancing blow with a goat's head, it is probably best to stick to more probable scenarios.

Krs: Yes, it's a good thing he wasn't smoking. AND speaking of smoking! I have to ask. That multiple-grid of vertical lines over Laura Bush's mouth tells me she's a smoker--in my experience, only women who smoke get those lines so relatively young. I haven't seen word one in the media about her smoking, and of course "they" haven't showed her smoking on camera, have they?
My theory about George's wounds: He may well have been kneeling over the toilet, barfing, when he fainted and hit his head.

roadsmith, I have a friend that has those lines around her top lip but she doesn't smoke. I think it's hereditary. I used to think that too.
krs, the thing that bothers me, is if he DID choke on a pretzel, why would they say that. It only makes him look more like a dork. If he DIDN'T choke on a pretzel, why would they come up with such a stupid excuse? Either way, it doesn't make sense.

Actually, what probably helped cause the problem is that they say the president works out every day and has a resting pulse of 40-45, almost half of normal.
Actually that is probably an inaccurate assumption. Someone that runs will have a healthy profusion at a heart rate (HK) of 40-50 because their stroke volume (SV) is double what a "normal" persons would be. So it would depend on what his "working out" consisted of, if his HR is normally low due to aroebic exercise and what his SV is as to if it had anything to do with his episode of syncope.
I do find it difficult to believe that he did that much damage by passing out briefly as he sat on the couch with his dogs looking at him kinda funny. However, if he attempted to stand (and men are foolish enough to do this) several times before he was getting enough O2 to his brain...he would keep going down. And since the front of a human body tends to be heavier a person tends to fall on their face.
I watched this guy (big guy) faint one time. Wasn't manly so he tried standing right up as soon as he came to. Crashed his face right into the floor. Did this three or four times and really beat the #*!@ outta himself and I am damn sure his wife did not beat him. He was hypovolemic cuz he was too maucho to leave a road paving job a couple times during the day to get a drink.

I liked Letterman's line that Bush was unconscious for about 4 sec.--fortunately that was the same 4 sec. that Cheney was CONSCIOUS.
(Shhh, I'm reading!)
Actually, 8-) looks more like me--glasses.
