YES I SEE YOUR POINT !
The soap box was used along time ago when the caveman would have a say about things, from then on many have used the soap box to express their views, thank heavens we all at one time have used the soapbox to express our concerns about a situation, expression is important to all of us, it shares our values, and opens up our inner most being to share with each other what we are about, this is one of the most important facts about us, as sellers, and human beings, i have learned alot myself by looking at each and every post here on this thread, it shows what can be done when we put our heads togther, and show each and everyone what we are made of, each view has opened up my mind to new thinking, and expression, this to me was the most positive thing from our post here, it is good to hear your concerns about the future, which is bright, and a road we all look ahead to go down on...

I just wanted to know if mint4you and granee go by other names at yahoo. I searched for their seller status at yahoo and both have never listed any items on auction at yahoo. I was checking to see how bad they worked their butt at yahoo auction.....:[

I UNDERSTAND YOUR POST, but dear rose, let me assure you their is nothing happening here, these people you are thinking have different motives are just plain simple people, who have went out and bought a compaq computer or hewlett, and in the evening time share their minds with the rest of the community, they mean no harm whatsoever, they are simple minded sellers, who have only one thing on their minds, just to communicate their feelings with the rest of the internet sellers out their, they give a different light to what is going on in their minds, and share it with us, this is communication, which is a good thing, it opens up the air waves to unfold changes going on thru the country on different issues concerning the internet, and what they believe to be true, this is what i believe they where trying to relate to us in their post...

FRESH COUNTRY AIR !!!

It is good for you, down here in sunny florida, the air is great, makes your lungs feel good, in some cities, like the big ones, their is very bad air problems, so inhailing this is bad, don't you agree???, i feel that we need to clean up the air in this country for our children's sake , and maybe have a better tomorrow for our younger ones future, this is clear to me, and should be the main focal point of president bush, i hope he helps the situation instead of changing things for the worse, as i see it, this we sure to agree on, and many more to you too...

Ironking said "I think those making noise are the bitter ones, while the happy ones are too busy selling at yahoo!!! I enjoy posts by rollanotherone and twelvepole, cant most of you be like them?????"

BUSY selling at Yahoo? You can't be talking about yourself as you have only listed 23 Yahoo ads total this year, correct? You sure do a lot of cheerleading for someone who's barely supported the site for the past 3 months. If you maintain your usual deadbeat rate you'll be spending more time filing NPB complaints than anything else and if you're lucky you'll see those credits in a month or two. As for enjoying posts by roll & pole...<moderated>. Regular posters know how to fill in their own blank there.

I'm OK with Yahoo, they are good for something. Get a winner, say see my real ads at Bidville= lots of Bidville sales. You bet I'm busy selling-but it's not at Yahoo. Though my sell through there is about the same as always at 33%. As for the success you claim Yahoo has, it's not in my categories. The average sell through rate is still a pitiful 3% of total listed and has been for many months. Certainly not worth risking fees. Do the math-97% of sellers in my categories are getting no sales for their listing fees. How many of them do you think would say the site is successful? Sure, some categories are up but since I don't sell those items why would I care? You are not going to convince anyone "the site" is great based on your personal stats. We all have to judge by our own.

I just did a Yahoo search on the seller ID roseharrison and she has never listed any items. What does it mean? Nothing.

I tried to get Kasmoon at Yahoo, they said it was already taken. I tried to get my Yahoo ID at AW, they said it was already taken. I tried to get my Yahoo ID at eBay, they said it was already taken. And so on everywhere. I'm a completely different ID everywhere-why-because I had no other choice. After you've been around message boards a while you'll understand what I have learned. No one should EVER take an ID equal to their seller ID. Too many nutcases want to screw with your auctions if they don't like what you say.

I did not mean to offend anyone, sellers are buyers too. I know the frustration of a poor informed buyer or a diliberate deadbeat. Thank god for message boards to air our frustrations and be put in our place by each other, I know I have had alot of help from everyone here.

My meaning was more indirectly meant to the fact that buyers do come to message boards, I send them here allllll the time because I feel it is a good place to search for items using the universal search, if I dont have it, I know they can find it here, unfortunately the universal search tab is next to the Message board tabs, It is very tempting to check the message boards beofre using the rest of the site, If I saw a seller saying unkind things about a buyer, I would run and go elsewhere. I am no angel, when I am frustrated with a sale it is better to say what is on your mind at times then to roll anotherone. =) Sorry did not mean to offend any seller here, ya'all have been very helpful and gracious with information.

kasmoon answered your question for me, thanks kasmoon! I chose the later reason, I feel it is not wise to express your real opinions with your seller ID. To many nuts on the Internet, who take revenge on those who differ with their views. I, like kasmoon, have been around the auctions a few years.

P.S. Thanks to you too Joice, (Moderator), for giving a good explanation also.

I use my sellers ID because it is easier for me. I was lucky to be able to get a match. And yes, it does effect my auctions. All I have to say to those who attack sellers via message boards "Go for it!" I wake up every morning feeling good about myself, they dont.

I dont suggest anyone doing the same unless they are prepared to sleep with one eye open which I do anyway. =)=)
