Dbl - What you don't still don't seem to have grasped yet when you try to play this analization game with me is that you only make yourself seem that that much more sad in my eyes. Your accusations don't bother me because, as much as I really think you want them to be true, they don't come close to hitting the mark. For some reason you seem to be driven to attempt to tear down and pass negative judgments on anyone on this boards life that does not agree with you every waking word. Sounds like hyper-insecurity at work.

What a big, gut-wrenching laugh I had after reading this again! I'm curious as to the psychology behind Double's posts. I see she's mentioned, quite a few times, that she's not on pills - wonder what that means? Also, because I mentioned smoking 18 joints, she now thinks all lefties smoke pot and say "man" a lot... all this while she chastised Cheryl for her comprehension skills.

I have a very high standard for those few I consider true friends....and people I've never met don't meet the criteria.

Linda - perhaps because you have not been around for awhile you are unaware of Dbls consistant need to to make these rather strange snide little snipes at me. Generally they come out of thin air. Her comment at the beginning of this thread (please read the entire comment, not just the first part) falls in line with a standing trend of hers to making mocking and snide comments regarding much or what I say. (There was a rather entertaining one that came right after I referred to John Gotti simply as John in a conversation we were having about the Gotti kids).
You see Linda - Dbl has put much time and effort into earning her snide sarcastic obnoxious b*tch wings, you just seem to have entered in the middle of the game.

Linda, you are correct. These people have no idea what a 'friend' is. I think we've discussed this before. But when youre only social interaction is through a computer -- or film, radio/tv or written media...what do you expect them to say?

One of their game/play 'rules' is you have to ALWAYS agree with their side....otherwise you're forever 'out' and a potential target from then on. NEVER, ever even ONCE agree with a 'rightie'. Kind of like President Bush's statement...'you're either with us or against us' that makes them so angry. They do the same thing...they just don't recognize it in themselves.
I've know that and we have discussed our different opinions....no problem for me there. I enjoy a good debate and don't hold a posters opposing position against them or make it personal because we don't agree....I try to just argue my side..how I see it.
Its very obvious to me that if the soliders succeed in any measure, that just reflects too good for Bush and these idiots will have none of that.
We're not alone in seeing that some appear to have wished for failure in our country's decisions/actions - some make it as clear as day. BUT....they're a very tiny minority of America's [and two or three Canadian's] didn't change any of the positives that have occurred DESPITE them. They have a fit when I call some of their statements anti or un-American....but they often appear that way to me, like they're not on our side at all, some posters more than others, of course.
They're so convinced we should lose. Agreed....and that a lot of what our Congress votes FOR is wrong and ONLY the President's fault even if dems supported it too. I get many chuckles from some of their statements. Often sounds to me like they defend any and all except our own country's actions. BUT REMEMBER....the actions of a few radial, ultra libs have been part of the reason their party keeps losing power. 'Give them enough rope'...etc.

Thank you, but they use those who hold opposing views to theirs to vent their frustrations. They're angry their party has continued losing control since 2002 and continues to do so. They can't figure out why when it's so very plain for others to see even the more moderate/reasonable dems. I used to try and argue/debate my position without responding the the 'mud fest' to those who chose to go there....but it didn't change a thing.
Now Linda, we may get in an argument one day. But I will NEVER resort to the crap you tolerate from the others here. I'd hope we could disagree, as I believe we have, on some issues in a civil manner. I have managed to communicate with a handful of dems here in a civil manner over time - some are more mature adults than others.
And I thank you for coming to my aid in this thread. You're welcome, but you didn't/don't need my aid....some here WILL speak out in fairness on occassion and not sit quietly by while other's pick a target of 'one' and start attacking from all sides.
lap dog....try to learn to laugh off those type of comments - they LOVE pushing other peoples 'buttons' to see if they get a response or can start 'stirring the pot'. They're just trying to push your buttons, rather than have adult communication to work out differences - or iron out misunderstandings that often occur via this method of communicating.
And as for: "I've got your back." Better just to let me 'fend' for myself. They're the one's who need the 'group' protection from each other because the don't choose to or can't discuss the topic. I believe I do a pretty good job of defending any point I make and would rather just have others post on topic whether they agree with a topic/position or not.

fenix - I DO understand what you're saying. Most have had little 'tit's for 'tat's with other posters at any given time. I'm not trying to get between you and dbl...I wish you two could work this out....but I know I won't be making that happen - it's up to the two of you. I was just pointing out that I also see times when compliments are given but they're taken in the wrong way. Taken other than they were intended.

And on KD's post about drugs. Several here have repeatedly mentioned they not only use drugs but would like to see them legalized. And over time many have admitted to taking prozac, etc...mood altering drugs. I believed them then and I still believe it. No way 'normal' people could make some of the statements they do if they WEREN'T doing drugs....or needing to be put on drugs....or drinking while posting.
Don't understand why you KD and cheryl are having such a problem understanding what's being said....since you both made those statements yourselves.
