My daughter had her garage sale today and will continue tomorrow... she placed the ad in the paper with the times...7 Am -5 Pm... she said some guy rang her bell at 6:15 Am.. wanting to see what she had for sale... being young, she showed him... I would have told him off for ringing my door bell at 6:15 Am...and told him to come back when the time specified they were open... some people have such a nerve...

Yikes! Never start a garage sale that early or what happened will happen. I had people an hour early for mine which is why I made it 9:00. And had to open 15 minutes early or I was afraid they'd bring out torches and pitchforks. Those dealers!

Unless of course, the draft is reinstated. But, since it's been said from the right that Bush would never do that. . . So, you think we can kick their butts? That's what they thought about Vietnam. Cheryl, Iran may or may not kick our butt but Iran and North Korea and /or China and Russia can together can turn us to dust.
But the Republicans love to send unprepared troops to fight wars ( you fight with what you have not what you need, a famous quote by someone who never faced combat)because more die that way. They accuse the left of wanting our troops to die but THEY make sure they do and all the while chant "Support the Troops".
Rumsfeld has announced base closings around the U.S.
I guess now that Osama bin Laden has been captured we're safe....OH that's right, he HASN'T been caught yet ! So why are bases being closed........maybe not enough soldiers.....

Our Armed Forces are stretched thin and are tired....bases are closing due to lack of recruitment....GRANDPARENTS are being called up for duty.....
These are facts.
We support our troops so much we want them to enter combat totally prepared for it....unlike the Republicans who don't care who's killed or maimed as long as they have a nice war to unite them.
Only those of limited knowledge and blind obedience to their ruler would think the U.S could withstand an attack by a coalition of countries intent on doing us harm.
Remember, Republican "war experts" said the war in Iraq would only last a few weeks.......
Good GAWD Maggie, you're not worried about what the sensitive classless thinks are ya? He sure isn't very nice is he.......just look at the lame joke he has for tag line.....kinda REAL OLD!

Linda thanks for addressing that for me. You'd think the fact they keep mentioning pharmaceuticals, pills, yada yada yada...but people most usually talk about what THEY know.. You're a real piece of work. Did you bother to state why I filed bankruptcy? No, of course you didn't because then it would be understood why I had to. But, of course, you can't have any of that.
For those of you who don't know, when my husband died suddenly of a massive heart attack he left me with two children (one of which found his father dead in the kitchen after school), a mound of debt I didn't know he had created and no life insurance. I paid on that debt working two jobs and exhausting our small savings account until I was laid off from my principle job not long after.
For your information, I don't take drugs. I'm not ashamed to say I smoked some pot back in the 1970's and the only pills I pop are asperin, which I've had to pop a lot because of you and your hate crusade.
Well, you know what DBL, like my husband used to say when he was alive, you get back what you give. I concede. You really are more hateful than I could ever hope to be.
As for this thread, I have more important things to do than feed into your ego anymore. It's a beautiful day and I have a garden to tend and a granddaughter to take roller skating. You will be the furthest thing from my mind.

No, if you knew anything about it you'd know that's not the case. Most bankruptcies are caused by medical care costs and job loss.
But this should cheer you up...REpugs now passed a law making it harder for the sick or injured and people who have lost their jobs to file for bankruptcy. It's still no problem for big corporations who do it all the time. But the Repugs, true to form, want to make it hard for the average American.
As for pot smoking and drug taking...do you , Dble/nero, believe everything you read in here ? How stupid! That would be as stupid as linduh believing you about your test scores and learning ability.
Now go put on your little rubber manure hat, grab that grammar/ punctuation/ spelling book and study!

I often disagree with DBL on issues and her opinions of others here... but I still enjoy her fascinating mode of speechification.

I don't have severe tunnel vision and I am still capable of seeing another's point of view... you should try it sometime, you might learn something.
