Well, linduh, since you seem to be your own "groupie" I'll help you not look so lonely . Now quit stalking yourself.
""""I for one am sick and tired of all these 'lefties' NOT verifying their 'journalistic stories' BEFORE the continue to cause the damage to our Nation that they have...and continue to do."""
I'm sick of going to war based on false information, killing 1600 Americans and countless Iraqis.
I'm sick of the bush administration illegally paying talk show hosts to lie for them.
I'm sick of the bush administration committing treason by "outing" CIA agents, endangering not only the agent's life but those of her contacts, just to "punish" her husband for disagreeing with the administration.
I'm sick of the Right trying to blame a magazine for deaths in Iraq when their administration has done such a better job of it.
I'm sick of the Right trying to blame violence on the left when the right is guilty of horrible torture approved by their administration....think the Iraqis didn't mind????????
I'm sick of those who approve of torture but only for "other" people.
I'm sick of the communists in this chat room that follow like good little robots everything their leaders do without questioning anything.....such a perfect set up for a dictatorship.

There was a time, a long while back, when I asked two posters here, from the left that I respect....'why won't you accept news articles/sources from those who lean to the right...and yet you do accept, without question -[thus my reference to the NYT being their Bible] those from the definitely leftist/liberals news sources? [I'm still queen of run on sentences, fenix ]
They told me, paraphrasing - of course, that it was because THEY [the highly regarded liberal news] BECAUSE they ALWAYS verified their sources at LEAST twice. So that gave them more credibility.
Thought that was a fair answer, even though it didn't prove that the 'right' leaning articles didn't verify their sources.
But no one who's honest can say that they've been doing that anymore.
All these old media sources, supposedly only truth speakers on the face of the earth, have proved over and over again that's not been the case for years now.
Since President Bush was first elected. They've posted rumors, lies, unverified 'reports' and STUCK by them....even upon admitting themselves they SHOULD have done a better job of investigation their false alligations BEFORE printing them as TRUTH.
Shame, shame on them. That's why more and more aren't believing what the anti-Bush writers are saying....they can see the list of UNTRUTHFUL alligations popping up all the time.
----------
And, as I quoted before:
The US weekly "Newsweek" is a highly reputable and responsible publication, rarely prone to making mistakes. So when it reports, as it has done, that copies of the Qur'an were desecrated at the US detention center at Guantanamo Bay, people will believe the story.
People in the Muslim world certainly do. The anger it has stirred up in Afghanistan has left a trail of death and destruction. Incensed at the blasphemy, Afghans have lashed out in fury in all directions. The fact that not only government and UN buildings were burned but even mosques shows the depths of their rage. The same level public anger has been reported from Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt and many other Muslim countries.
Whoops! It turns out the story--which according to Reuters, provoked rioting in Afghanistan that has killed at least 16--wasn't true, as Newsweek now acknowledges.
Then some liberals here have the nerve/gull to get upset when I mention certain actions I see as being un-American...or Anti-America. THESE actions certainly prove them wrong.

I guess Newsweek shouldn't have taken the PENTAGON'S word when they APPROVED the story...???????
I haven't been proven wrong at all
Gee, libra, was that ever an intelligent pithy reply !
Now quit "stalking" me and being my "groupie, you racist.
The "right" has been proven to lie over and over again with deadly results but I guess righties LIKE lies that creating death and destruction.
They advocate torture which puts the U.S on the same level as "terrorist" countries.....how anti-American can you get?
Ya, lefties get upset over things like lying about going to war and killing and maiming people but that would never bother a neocon.....as long as it's not them

(CNSNews.com) -
A media watchdog group blasted Newsweek Monday for refusing to issue a retraction of its report that U.S. interrogators at Guantanamo Bay flushed a Koran down a toilet despite the fact that the claim came from an anonymous source who could not substantiate it.
Media Research Center President Brent Bozell compared Newsweek's journalistic integrity to that of CBS News during the National Guard controversy.
"Newsweek is guilty of pushing a false story they knew was unconfirmed but wanted to believe was true, and this time the result was tragic," said Bozell, who is also founder of the Cybercast News Service.
"The Newsweek story is the same CBS/National Guard 'gotcha' journalism story all over again, only this time with riots and deaths as the deeply regrettable consequences," added Bozell.
"This is the painful legacy of news organizations whose anti-Bush agenda predisposes them to running negative stories they want to believe are true, even if they have no evidence of their veracity," he said.
"Newsweek is making a terrible story even worse by refusing to retract it, and telling the New York Times: 'We are not retracting anything.' This is shades of Dan Rather and CBS continuing to tell the public their National Guard story was true until somebody disproved it."
The magazine has refused to retract the story, but issued an apology, saying they regretted that they "got any part of our story wrong." It also extended its sympathies to the victims of violence that erupted as a result of the story. Fifteen people were killed and over a hundred injured in Afghanistan because of Newsweek's story.

Not to mention how their doing so has endangered out soldiers there, in the field.

LOL, yes Libra. Now the left is trying to twist the blame for what Newsweek did onto the Pentagon. Nothing unusal about them doing that...that's how they play the 'game'.
From what I've read...the left is saying [phaphrasing here] 'well the Pentagon didn't say anything about it for 11 days'. So...in their ultra-liberal anti-Bush minds...they've rolled that into this UNCONFIRMED/UNVERIFIED/TOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE reporting from NW into the Pentagon's fault.
They don't EVER take personal responsibility for THIER OWN actions....place that blame on someone else. I don't think many ultra-liberals EVEN believe in personality responsibility - or know what the term means.
