It is amazing the frenzy that some of these people get in over a BV subject. It's so sad to see the effort that some people put into their obsessions and hate.

Blairwitch, are you now tauting EPier now instead of Yahoo? I hope you'll find happiness soon, but I see no signs of it right now.

Bidbids sickness is well documented and needs no additional comment.

Oh shoot I forgot to put this Bidville propaganda cheerleader on my list!
Don’t worry dreamgirl! When Bidville folds I’m sure George Tannous will still have a couple of more bucks for you to squander free listings out of.

I don't even want to speculate on what the ignore listees are ranting about. It's gotta be pure drivel.
Buzz really should get some professional help. I'll pray for MeanGirl. Cuff can burn in Hades. Deichen is an airhead sheep. At least she has enough sense to not reveal her online auction IDs.

I'm beginning to feel like Tom Hanks in the movie Castaway. Where is Wilson anyway?

That is of course he does not puts himself on the ignore list.

That would be the smart thing to do. Or perhaps, come up with yet another alias.

I have paid my bill with PayPal over 24 hours ago. Am trying to send an email two times to Bidville Help Desk and get returned DAEMON UNABLE TO DELIVER IN LAST 4 HOURS twice (one for each email attempt) What gives? Bidville not letting me post any more auctions - is anyone really there or is it the Wizard of Oz?

The saga continues .....

Bidsbids I read another thread a few says ago saying the CS emails were returned. If bidville is turning down their money then something is wrong. The site could be on the way to shutting down.

Dreamgirl I like sites that have a plan in place, and are making revenue to advertise. Why dont you email bidville....oops forgot they dident pay their bill! lol.

Okay, here's a theory...

Bryan is on vacation as dimbids has suggested and the person handling business for BV doesn't know how to correct, or isn't authorized to correct the email problem.

The email problem was probably created by the mass number of emails sent requesting people's passwords, and originating from:

A request for your account password was made on 06/30/2002 13:28:15 from host '24.96.39.135'.

201 times! This has been happening at first to select people at BV that post on these and the Moo boards, and now to others. It has happened twice to me. Both times I emailed BVCS... the first email went through and they replied, but the second bounced back.

So, don't get all excited... In my opinion BidVille isn't going anywhere, but is suffering a temporary glitch caused by some punk with nothing better to do than sit around messing with his nasty little robot program.

Many sellers are complaining about receiving a large number of automated BVCS emails regarding password requests. It is very, very odd that there is not any announcement of any kind about this serious problem. It almost amounts to a denial of service attack on the site and may be an attempt to drive of sellers with BV's very own computer system. I seriously doubt that anyone is at the Bidville customer service department or maybe at BV in general. It is running on an auto pilot with the list of featured sellers and auction counts and everything else being on automatic programs ( just like Yahoo Auctions ). The www.feedbacksite.com is also on a robotic pattern without any human interface.

Maybe the doctor figured out a way to run Bidville with computer programs and no human interaction? Maybe he told Bryan to pack his bags? If the experement fails and BV goes under he is only out a few bucks a year and rid of a huge headache and embarassment.

I posted a thread earlier that I had closed all my auctions and now the thread is gone!

Gee, did BVCS actually do something besides bounce emails...like maybe delete my thread???

Hey beach, I found you on that other site, and already found something I am watching!

By the way, maybe bidville cant stand the competition? They cant respond to emails, yet they are watching the boards. Interesting!

About the password requests. This is a very simple fix and it leads me to believe that Bryan is no longer on site ( vacation, quit or whatever ). The glitch is that a large number of password requests per day per individual ID accounts should have never been allowed in the software code. Someone has discovered the error and is using it to disrupt BV sellers and the email system. Now that the foolish BV sellers have posted the glitch on the BV boards the problem is compounding. The password requests should not be enough to bring down the BV email system. The problem would not be that difficult of a problem to fix as the computer ID{s} could be blocked from using the site like when someone is suspended. There are many ways around that but most people will not take the time to learn and use the workarounds. To think that BV would legally prosecute any offenders is very foolish thinking. To legally prosecute someone costs a lot of money and the person(s} asking for password requests probably have little or no money so the lawyers won't touch it with large upfront fees.
