I can't believe what I've found in this ladys history - and frankly, don't even know what to think of it.
She has placed 227 bids in just over 30 days. Of those, she won 83. Her total $$ spent is just over $28,800.00.
That's not a typo - Twenty eight thousand eight hundred dollars in won bids in just over 30 days.
She has 16 feedbacks with 14 from current users. She has only left around two dozen feedbacks - four of them for me today and another neutral to another seller saying "I guess they changed their email address."
Since my seller i.d. and email address are the same I guess she couldn't claim that for our transaction.
The interesting thing is that she does have one feedback showing she paid for a $6,000 item - so, maybe 28,800.00 in 30 days is pocket change to her? If only we were all so lucky. Compared to most of her other bids - mine were mere pocket change. All totalled less than $50.00.
Maui I appreciate your help and you're not nefarious, but you know that. Gotta run pick up chinese food - wanna eggroll?

Say -- does anybody have access to that quote by Mr. Omidyar, where he stated that eBay users should not be concerned about having perfect eBay feedback profiles?

Mybiddness:
In light of what you've found out, I suggest you start the process to get your fees back from eBay (she can't neg you now). Hopefully, 3 other sellers will do that as well, and then she'll be gone.

Gee, I'm so surprised to see Paulstars post gone - it was there just a second ago. Strange things happen around here, huh? LOL
I emailed my bidder just before my original post and haven't heard back from her yet. Maybe she didn't get my email.
Radh is right - too much time spent on this already - but, wahhhh, wahhhhh, wahhhh!
I guess I'll just wait to hear back from her before I post feedback -
Maui squishing eggroll through monitor - delicious!

paulstar,
I have deleted your post because of the profanity. Since you are new today, I will not give you a warning. I would suggest you re-read the Community Guidelines so you don't jeopardize your posting privileges.

wow...thats a surprise...seeing the one who neg'd me posting in this forum (not this thread). Small world, eh? (presuming it IS the same person...but it might not be. But, if it is...well...um....nevermind)

What I don't understand, frankly, is why you're so interested in leaving her feedback instead of contacting her to let her buy the items....
posted on September 15, 2000 07:38:54 PMGlenda Buried in my earlier post I guess, but I did email her this a.m. before my post here -
Big sigh of relief. I just got an email back from her apologizing for leaving the neutrals. She offered to retract them - of course, impossible. So, I've emailed her back explaining that our only option is for me to post a response - and then for her to post another response, 'cept I explained it better than that.
She also said that she's new and was just clearing out her files. With almost $30,000 in 30 days of bidding I guess I can believe that. I very gently explained a better way of dealing with clearing out files.
At the rate this lady bids - I'm bending over backwards to please - yes'm, yes'm, yes'm - whatever she says - Hoping to make her my new best friend.

LOL why not sign her up with billpoint or something so that you can get the money quicker... I'd hate to see something else go wrong like lost mail etc.
REmember if perhaps this is "string along with mitch" (anyone actually remember that show?) then you only have a short time to FILE THE NPB notice.
Lots of people bid lots and yes it is confusing being new...
she might try for removal of the neutrals with ebay things have happened before.. heck what would happen if she went in and left profanity or your REAL name on each comment - would they remove the ffull feedback or just the replies?
Aren't you glad you took my advice and calmed down and didn't neg her?
Pharlap:
You mean waiting for 12 DAYS and not even hearing from a sellers indicates an impatient buyer???? You must be joking.
And you'll have to prove that leaving feedback is an "attempt to get the seller's attention" in this case. Actually, the simpler explanation all along was just a very simple one...she left feedback. Just like ebay says to do.
I'm glad I advocated the right thing to do here, even if it was, apparently, the unpopular thing.
I do find it interesting that we can infer so much about someone (the buyer in this case) with so little information. I think some of the people here should quit their current jobs and apply to the FBI, where they should be able to solve obscure murders with only a few scaps of evidence...
posted on September 16, 2000 05:54:45 PMCaptainKirk A little too smug here captain - yes, you were helpful but you need to let that head swelling go back down to size a little. Geeez, give a man a little nod and he.... oh well.
She did over-react didn't she? When I look at someone's feedback and I see prompt email, prompt response, fast shipment, etc. 630 times - then, I'm smart enough not to potentially damage that persons livlihood by posting four neutrals just 'cause I couldn't get my email to work. Especially if I have AOL which is known to sometimes block emails. I expend a little bit of trouble - instead of just hitting the button to "clear my files" as she said she did. If you know you're having trouble with blocked emails - and I wasn't the only seller she left that kind of feedback for - then you take the responsibility for it, right? Not by saying what the hell and blaming the seller. So her files are clear - whoopee and my feedback is no longer 100% perfect. Not a killer for me I'm sure - but, when you work as hard as I do it's a kick in the a$$.
She did the wrong thing and if I weren't such a sucker - I think Paulstar called it something else I would have negged her for behaving so irresponsibly and wrecklessly. As it is, I will probably collect my $$ and move along - then the next seller whose email she unknowingly blocks will see the same thing I did. Although I do hope that my mini-lesson helped her to understand that all feedback can have consequences.
O.K. - I've ranted long enough - felt really good - my heat is directed at my buyer and not at you Captain but I couldn't let you keep that way swollen head.

Glad to see the situation is working out. Just wanted to put my 2 cents worth in...
As a buyer, I wouldn't be concerned about the neutrals. In fact, I would rather see a couple of neutrals, or even negs depending on the situation, than all positives. Why?? Because I have been around enough to know that there are all kinds of people in the world. I also know it is impossible to please everyone, no matter how hard you try. When I see a seller with a very high number of feedbacks and they are all positive, I must pause for a moment and wonder about their legitimacy. Yes, I like to see a lot of positive feedback, but I know that everyone expects different things from a seller when they make a purchase...and a seller can't be all things to all people. Take my comments as you wish, but I actually think the neutrals may be a good thing.
