oh, perfect thread for this

A couple that we know, were approved for adoption. They are both in their mid 50's and wanted a 12 year old or so child. Perfect, because most prospetive parents want a baby. They had been 'visiting' with a 12 year old boy for awhile, and they were going to adopt him. Meanwhile he is in a foster home. So the day came, they go to get him, and DSHS (dept of social and health service) stepped in. and said the boy would be better off in the foster home?? 'he had problems that DSHS needed to keep an eye on'
go figure, now that boy is going to be in foster care most likely till he's 18. Now this is the state govt stepping in. I believe a child would be better off being adopted.
The couple, are totally devasted, they had planned their lives around a child, because they had been approved. Go figure.
