How appropriate that this guy is probably hiding under a rock now, afraid to come out!
This should happen to ALL deadbeat sellers.

getkicksonrte66..Very well said, and yes, it covers all bases. Ebay may well have been influenced in their decision by the Negs and Retaliatory as by the original offense (fee avoidance).

As to whomever is coming down on Glenda, she has been about Ebay and AW for much longer than many of us, and knows the rules inside out. Attacking her statements is unfair; and unless I am wrong, I have never seen Glenda wearing a cheerleader outfit..

Just because one may not agree is no reason to resort to such technics...PomPoms??? Takes a few of us back a bit...

I kind of feel mboyko brought this on himself. He probably had several people complain to ebay about his retalitory negging, excessive feedback and general attitude but there was nothing they could do because technically he was in the right so their hands were tied. But they could keep a closer eye on him than normal. Ebay's rules are complex and ever changing and eventually every person on ebay is going to do something against their rules. If ebay is keeping a close eye on a certain member, they are going to leap on this chance to get rid of him simply so others will stop complaining. Technically speaking there is nothing wrong with doing that. Since chances are at least one of mboyko's buyers is also registered on auctionwatch, it is not surpising that he was turned into ebay for posting that thread. Just goes to show that pride does come before the fall.

Like I said: his feedback tells the story.

Gee, what a loss for the trading community.

Glenda is absolutely right and you need to lighten up, Networker. You've got a case of a guy who walks into a donut shop and starts bragging about how he just knocked over a bank. Hello, EINSTEIN!!! I can tell you eBay support does read these threads. I know because I posted a comment about a customer and was contacted immediately by eBay.

I supported Mboyko when he first posted and I said I would buy from him. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, up to the delivery of items in a used pizza box and his cavalier retaliatory feedback. However, bragging about avoiding eBay fees in this forum is just plain stupid.

daneta99,

You posted a note this morning that ended with the words:

"Go ahead and delete this post too if u want.

I got it out of my system". I deleted the note and to my knowledge, that is the only note that was deleted.

The post contained nothing whatsoever that merited deleting it.

U deleted my post JUST because i said delete it if u want?

Do u realize all the posts that are on this thread with all sort of "inflammatory" coments, insinuations and diatribes and u guys go ahead and delete my post...which only said this guy deserved to be banned and nothing else.

Why?

Daneta - I think it's kind of like wearing a sign on your back that says, "Kick me."

What about freedom of expression? Especially when no TOS have been violated.

I want to know why some have a free for all on the boards and the moderators tolerate it with just a snap on the hand and my post was deleted...

Hello Daneta,

You don't see that a post where you dare someone to delete it isn't begging the very action you are now decrying?

daneta99 - if you didn't want your post to be deleted you probably shouldn't have stated that it would be OK to delete it. That's like saying to your husband, "Honey, you can stay out all night drinking with your friends if you want to," then giving him hell for it when he comes home.

I beg to differ with the last 2 posts. Nevermind. It is not worth it any longer.

"Go ahead and delete this post too if u want"

Hmmm, that comment to me expressed her frustration over her first post being deleted because it was in ALL CAPS (have you ever seen that before? A post being deleted for that reason??? I haven't).

I'd be pi$$ed too!

danetta99,

The Community Guidelines require conduct to be guided at all times by basic etiquette. Your note was not addressing the issue at hand, you made a personal comment about the individual. I thought it best the post be removed and you did give your permission.

If you have comments or questions about moderation issues, please start a thread in the MC.

Thank you.

I thought this thread had been locked?

With all due respect:

I have observed those rules at ALL time since the day I opened my account here at AW. U on the other hand have behaved like a tyrant, arbitrariously deleted a post that had NO INFLAMMATORY language at all and was in fact on topic.

Tittle of the thread: "I have been banned from Ebay! Help!"

I said he deserved to be deleted which is a lot less than he deserves and a lot less than has been said previously and that u so obviously disregarded or prefer for whatever reasons to ignore or overlook. I have seen inumerable cases in which posters have insulted and called names and nothing was done by any of the moderators.

U moderators have refused to lock this thread. That was my gripe. U deleted my post and I questioned it by means of cynicism and u delete it again? That was my point.

Where is my lack of basic etiquette? Where?

Don't bother answering. I won't initiate another thread. In fact I am canceling my account.

Thanks for your "help".

There was another post right before yours that said something like "this horse is dead..." that seems to have vaporized as well. Can't remember who posted it, but I think it was a separate post made right before yours.
