[I'm suspecting that pretty soon we're going to get to see just how anal helen can be. ]

Red - I agree people can play whatever 'roll' they want...and few would know it....at least for a while. Sooner or later though something usually give them away...or they give themselves away.

But I did believe nycyn was for real as she describe what she was experiencing...her personal hardships. I believed she was trying to maintain some sense of 'normalization'. I felt terrible for her.

But we get to see the true personalities/characters of people/posters, I believe when we read their responses to some like she was presenting herself. Good learning experience in human nature...social development, etc.

It seems that there are some here that aspire to becoming like NYCYN's exit manifesto in their choice of words but they don't quite make it, while others do so perfectly and perhaps exceed it in just a few words.

Hi pI...I hope that wasnt a reference to me or what I previously posted, because - 1) that is not what I aspire to (but what kraft keeps telling me I remind her of) and 2) I never knew this poster, or of this poster, except a smattering of whats been posted about it here since I have been reading the boards which was late 2003 or 2004. What I find interesting in reading this is that it is the same scenario played out over and over amongst the posters here.

Piggly Wiggly???

Is that like sneakydavesplace?

In trying to find a google link for Red about NYcyn...I came across an old post of yours where you were commenting[more like a rant to me] on how you felt about AW suspending you. GOD, was that funny.

A true blast from the past.

Okay Helen and Linda, I've got a question for both of you. I've been reading threads here long enough to see that you two have been going at each other (easy Classic) for quite some time. Hell, Stevie Wonder could see that. You two sort of remind me of a couple of cold war generals (don't worry Linda, you can be the American general <smile> ) and my question(s) to you both is, do you ever envision an end to the cold war? Do you see yourselves ever moving past the differences and some day sitting down over a cup of coffee and laughing about all this? Or will there be ice skating in hell before that happens.

(I realize these are personal questions but since your feud is so public and since it finds its way into a lot of threads I figure I'm not out of line by asking. Of course I expect you both will let me know if you feel differently.)

Well of course it was about you Dblfugger9 Just kidding, heck no it wasn't. Your choice of words are poetic compared to hers.

you may reap what you sow.

Fire up your snitch, get her all warmed up and ready to go.

LOL...you noticed did ya?

Yep...it's been going on for several years now. helen now is helenjw...and she used another userid of hjw...before that.

For a short period of time here, we were the only two that went at it like we do. And people called us things like the 'odd couple' etc. lol

My problem is that helen's just too easy to 'get'. She's so ridgid in her ways...inflexible and I love to give her a hard time about it.

She has promised, and I've saved the links, to NEVER, EVER speak to me again - I mean for YEARS. She tells me how stupid I am, how she doesn't want to hear my opinions...etc am..rants and raves and within a day or two has broken her promise again. That's why I 'call' her on her word meaning nothing to her. She can't keep her word at all....and not only about things between she and I either.

But when I make statements about something she's said.....she will correct me while calling me a liar. A good example of that is where in the dem vs rep. thread....I posted the words of another poster who made a statement to helen. Go take a look at it. There she's accusing me of 'taking it out of context, or some such nonsense ....and you can see by what I posted vs what she posted...they're both the same. I only left out the posters name because he/she doesn't post here anymore. That was all. But to read helen's comment...I was intentional trying to fool everyone.

That's why we get along so well. She could never put me on ignore....and hold to it for even a week. She'd go nuts.

edited to add:
So.....yes, as you said [lol]

Or will there be ice skating in hell before that happens.

I enjoy your humor very much too.

RedStateRising, I don't take part in battles conjured up by the new kid on the block -- a battle in which linda is annointed the "American" general. I see your direction clearly and it's not honorable.

What'd I tell you? LOL

Her overly sensitive feelings can't take humor...she only finds humor in those who speak out in a vile, vulger manner. She's ridgid...and I warned you I'd never seen her so well behaved with a newcomer that admitted to being a 'rightie'.

Now you'd better get down on your knees and grovel for a while....to get back into her 'good' graces. [ edited by Linda_K on Aug 25, 2005 12:23 PM ]

Oh come on helen....loosen up a tad.

You don't KNOW where he was going with that statement.

Maybe he meant I'd be the Admiral of the American fleet and you could be the Admiral of the underfunded, rusting out Canadian fleet.

Didn't necessarily mean you were the Admiral of the Chinese, Russian or Germany army's.

lol

Hey Red, do you mind if i be a buttinsky here(no Maggie, that doesn't say buttinthesky LOL) No, i didn't think so. Just a little piece of advice or actually i guess it's more of an observation, but you can take it any way you like.

You don't start out trying to be humourous with Helen, it doesn't get through. Believe me, i've tried and i think no one has tried harder than me and i'm still trying, sorta. It's like she's got a metal plate in her head or something that vivrates in a weird way and causes her to perceive things said to her in a different manner than what they were intended to be. She's allready told you what she thinks of you right here in this thread, on page one she said to you; Frankly, red...I don't like your smarmy, ingratiating manner. Take your pie and shove it. Is your real name Frank?

I am sure that she views yours/mine/others humour with total disdain and with all these questions you are asking of her she is probably thinking why is this guy psychoanalyzing ME.

My prediction is that if you stick around long enough she will knock you on your butt or she will give it a heck of a try to do so. My hope is that you will stick around and give her a run for her money as good or better than Linda has because then it's sure to be some interesting reading and sure to give all sorts of good material for me to be able to poke fun at it all.

Note; never has she ever knocked Linda or anyone else on their butt, well ok maybe nycyn at the end of her own demise.

Just my 2-1/2 cents worth.

-------------------

Hey Helen how does this post rate on your pithy scale, just give a simple 1 through 10 score, ok.

Tawdry scheme? Oh please. First, I appreciated your help and thanked you for it. Second, annointing Linda as the American general was more a fun jab at Linda than it was at you. As for refusing to participate in a battle of my creating, surely that was a joke, right? The fact that you battle Linda in just about every thread in this forum is certainly something thats pretty hard to miss. My question was simply whether you ever see it ending. You don't want to talk about it? Thats cool but since your "battle" is so public and one of the dominant themes in this forum I certainly didn't see anything "dishonorable" in asking about it.

Redstaterising, I'm glad you got a chance to see Nycyn's manifesto. I have it framed. I've NEVER read one that can compare.

Double, that wasn't a good example of how you're similar to Cynthia. When she was acting normal, she was funnier than anything just because of the way she'd group words together. You have the same ability, imo.

After she left here, she emailed me a few times because she was thinking about moving to Canada. I think everything worked out for her and she's a-ok.

The more I read that manifesto the more it makes me laugh. Maybe I would view it differently if I had known her but just reading it cold there are some classic lines in there. My favorites are

Young, big busted, women from Afghanistan, are eager to meet you, even if you are a miserable, rotten, SOB

I also sell hand guns, guaranteed to not have a body on them!!! Rare item!

(No credit card required. Funded by local mosque!)

I must admit that this was a one of a kind manifesto.

Pi, isn't that the best? She was trying to say as many "bad" things as she could think of to get herself kicked off. Throbbing gristle was probably the last straw for AW.
