Hey, mingotree..... I like you and some of your posts are right on.

Sorry that some were expecting good news from Iraq and instead have been confronted with terrible news from right in America accompanied with pictures..... reality.

Hopefully redstaterising can now click on the Iraq link and read about the good news there and get on with their day.

Apparently the major of New Orleans is now ordering (not asking but ordering) all residents still in the area with flat bottom boats to get their butts in them and head to a staging area where they will be mounting missions to rescue people from roofs. 80% of New Orleans in under water and there is now only 1 passable route in or out of town.

They are showing a guy in his car stranded on a bridge that has just broken apart. For miles around him there is nothing. It's kinda of an amazing site, one of the broadcasters compared it to a string of legos that has seperated, probably the best description I have heard.

""'I think Red was talking about when he opened the thread, not started it. "".

There is no difference between Opening a thread and Starting one. LindaOpened/Started this thread and then came in as RedState and said she opened it, proving that she's Redstate which is a fitting name because she believes in Communism..

I agree fenix, that multiple IDs are common and unimportant but LINDAK made a BIG DEAL out of her idea that I was crowfarm.
NOW the shoe is on the other foot....shows what a two-faced liar she is(as if we didn't know already)

Kiara ! I wasn't complaining about how the topic got onto Katrina instead of Iraq! What are you talking about?

Redstate(LindaK) did!

Sorry, mingo. I wasn't very clear when I wrote 'some'/'you'. I didn't mean YOU.... lol. It was a bit of sarcasm over redstaterising's remark about the thread.

Like you, fenix when I changed my ID name from HJW to Helenjw, there was no ulterior motive or attempt made to assume another identity.

Now, there is one poster who has more than two identities and that does bother me because his motive is ulterior.

And Mingo, it's not linda who is redstate.

Now, I want everyone to get together and throw something north toward Ken. His big comment? If you are going to live below sea level, on the Gulf and in an area prone to hurricanes what do you expect is going to happen? He's "sorry" this has happened, but what do you expect will happen when you live in those states?

I could just wring his neck sometimes. He says the same thing everytime a hurricane hits Florida and my father lives there. Yet, his big thing is he wants to move to LA. Earthquakes are cool, hurricanes are not. Maybe a wack over the head from everything being thrown at him will loosen the clog upstairs. LOL!

It's amazing. The turn of events in New Orleans, I mean. I haven't watched any TV since yesterday afternoon so reading all of this is just shocking. The last I heard they escaped a lot of damage. We're getting the remnants right now. Four to 8" of rain is expected here, which means my basement will flood. Since we've had so little rainfall all summer, the ground is hard and it will take a long time for it to absorb the rain. Good thing I had Ken put plastic up on the part of the roof that was damaged by last winter. It would be raining on me right now if I hadn't.

My gosh, I've now been exposed as Linda? Okey dokey there mingotree. Who would have thunk that opening a thread, as in clicking on it and opening it up from the menu of threads, would be the same act as actually composing and creating a thread from scratch!! I know I'm new here but I never figured just how easy it is to compose a new thread. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some more threads to uhhh open, no wait, compose, no, originate, no, uhh dammit, its just so confusing!

Indeed fenix, my comment was a little tongue in cheek. But see, in my Bruce Wayne like zeal to protect my true identity as Linda, I didn't want to use a smiley thing. But since my cover has been so expertly blown <cough>, I feel I can now say, with complete sincerity:

And lookee lookee, mingotree wants to play with me!! Before obliging her, let me just stop here and say what an honor this is. Having read this forum for a while I wondered when my turn would come. After all, I voted republican, admit to being a conservative and have a "smarmy" attitude (I've changed my mind, Helen, I think I like "smarmy" ).

Anyhoo, lets dance, mingotree. I certainly hope you are bringing more to the party than simply repeating your, uhhhh, definitive proof that I'm linda. While I wait on pins and needles for your next Sherlock Holmesian revelation, I put the question to the floor. Does anyone else think I'm linda? Don't be shy now. Chime on in. You too lurkers, come on out and let us know.

Red says, "Anyhoo, lets dance, mingotree. "

Remember this?

Yellow says, Hey Maggie and Crowfarm, I do have to admit that I do like pulling your strings. When I do, you both dance just like the puppets that you are. Ohhhh yea, I pull on one string and Crowfarm's left leg starts to wiggle. Then I pull on another string and her right leg starts to wiggle but when I pull on all her strings she dances around with her legs and arms flailing about and putting on a really good show.

Anybody want to respond now.?

fenix - The other children's actions don't surprise me one tiny bit.....they LOVE playing in the sand box. I've just always thought more highly of you....guess I was totally wrong.

Put it this way. Isn't it better that although it's veered off, it's still on a relevent topic rather than another rash of personal attacks?

Now, you too have a broken crystal ball and project what the future holds, it looks like.
hmmmmm

I admit that I may have built the off ramp but I thought it was strange that given what is going on here in the US right now with billions of dollars of damage, who knows how many lives lost, millions without power, drinkable water or access to safety in a situation that seems to only be getting worse, that the only new post I saw was a rah-rah Iraq one.

Oh right....rah-rah for the TRUTH....Can't have that for sure. Let's don't present BOTH SIDES of what's going on in Iraq....nope, the anti-war folks won't STAND for that.

Can't have rah-rah for our troops and their accomplishments no siree. But the left wants us to believe 'they support our troops'. YEA....right....sure....okay. Disproven here one again, sadly.

Yes, and you didn't have the ability to start your own thread it appears. How very, very childish you're now acting fenix.

And to think, because YOU don't think anyone else might just be interested in reading/discussing my topic of discussion....things our left-leaning MSM won't/don't put in print....that you would just start this juvenile game. tsk tsk tsk

Because YOU aren't interested in hearing any good news reported.....I guess in your mind if we just keep the good news hidden from all [more leftist obstructionism] then maybe more will support the radical left's idea of withdrawing from Iraq.

Not going to happen....not while this President is in office. No matter how much the ultra-liberal, anti-war posters trying to make it happen.

Sure, I'll respond. But first I have to get all these voices in my head to come together, so give me a sec.

Okay, just so that I'm clear, I am now etex, lindak, yellowstone, which by default makes me piinthesky, and someone else I think. I've used the link you gave me to peruse old threads and I've seen posts from yellowstone. I, uhh, guess I see how my writing style could be confused with his. I mean apparently we both used the word "dance" for pete's sake! There it is, you got me. Of course everyone knows that the phrase "lets dance" when referring to an impending rumble (be it with words or fists) was invented by yellowstone so therefore anyone else subsequently using said phrase would have to be......yellowstone! <insert voice from the Guiness beer commercials> Brilliant!

I tell ya Helen, I knew your were sharp but you've really outdone yourself here. What defense can I possibly muster to such damning and glaring accusations?

Again, I open the floor. Can we have a show of hands from all who now think I am now yellowstone?

LInda - think whatever you want, as I have said you are going to anyway. You want to throw mud, have at it. You want to project your assumptions on me.. have a blast. I am so sick and tired of your your predetermined negative opinions being throw about I could spit.

I'm not ignoring your news because I don't want to know good things are happening. That's completely ridiculous and more than a little insulting. I'm just a little more focused this morning on the tragedy at home. The fact that you can't understand that and you want to assign treacherous connotations to it says more about you than any words possibly could.

She has a valid point, in it would of been curious to see if you would of hi-jacked the thread had it been started about something embarassing in Iraq?

Cheyl's BF has got the best outlook on the Hurricane situation.

Sucks to be them, but then again this is nothing new along the coast.

Well, I tell ya fenix, its a complex system I came up with after getting my hands on an old Enigma machine. To help keep the charade going I find it necessary to send myself daily ciphers so that no one personality knows the password of another. Its working fairly well I think. Of course if one personality finds out the the password of another then I'll have to shoot that personality which, I admit, might be problematic but hopefully it won't come to that.

I certainly meant what I said to you IN an insulting way.

I'm just a little more focused this morning on the tragedy at home. The fact that you can't understand that and you want to assign treacherous connotations to it says more about you than any words possibly could.

Sell THAT nonsense to someone dumb enough to believe it. Not I, fenix...not I.

Because you wished to ignore it wouldn't have been an issue. You could have easily started your own thread.

Your intentions are quite evident....and there's no denying that FACT.

Get some rest....I think you're losing your past sense of objectivity.

A lot of pronouns there, Ron. I think the "she" you are referring to is Linda and the "you" is fenix - is that right? (Hey, how'd I do, Helen and mingotree? This James Bond stuff is kind of fun!)

Quite right, of course, Helen. After reviewing my posts in the new kid thread, the open border thread and this thread, I cannot possibly see how any rational person could come to any other conclusion except that I must be.....yellowpilindatex.

Again, since I'm still a newbie in these here parts, I ask those who have experience with the aforementioned posters to chime on in with agreement to the accusations put forth towards little old me. But please ladies and gentlemen of the jury, remember, if the glove don't fit, you must aquit! Or was it if the Bruno Magli has the victims blood all over it you must ignore it and aquit! I forget now....

I think that anyone that knows me knows that your accusations and assignations (hush Helen - I'll make up words if I want )of movitive are full of #*!@. So you do whatever it is that you wish to do that makes you feel justified and superior. I truly could not care less.

fenix - I totally understand that's how you feel....now. Crystal clear to everyone.

If you choose to lower yourself to the juvenile actions of those other lefties, that is of course, your decision to make.

And I believe all adults here can see and comprehend that your chosing to not start another topic to discuss the hurricane was intentional. There's no mistake about that fact.

So...enjoy playing in the sandbox with the other children here....it's beginning to suit you very well.

It was MY mistake to have held you in higher regard.....no skin of anyone elses nose.
