Ironic Ron that you are willing to blame Nagin for just about anything you can get your hands on. Talk about hypocrisy. You always want to cry foul when someone blames Bush for something, but then you do the exact same thing. This is why you neocons have no credibility.
Much more than you saw on the evening news, and it is obvious that the guy wasn't fighting at all until the officers rabbit punched him several times. And even then,his resistance was passive, not aggressive. The part that got me was when a guy in a vest joined the group, grabbed the old guy's leg & twisted up--then the officers yelled "turn over" and the guy said he couldn't (well, duh, his leg was being twisted up & 4 or 5 officers were also sitting on him). Several people remonstrated with the cops and were chased away. You also see one news person being roughed up, and some other unditentified bystander being thrown to the ground and the officer planting his foot on their back. Oh, yeah, and not one but TWO mounted officers using their horses to deliberately try and block the sight from the person shooting the footage...
