Gotta love some of these liberal women....always bossing other's around, telling them what to do...what to change...

roadsmith says: Clean up your act or take the "reverend" out of your moniker. It's insulting.

roadsmith....who made YOU God? NOBODY!! Don't like what Colin does, says, how he lives....or what anyone else does or says???? TOO BAD...you, like other controlling liberals don't have a say about what other independent individuals do. THANK GOD.

You can become a legally ordained minister, instantly, online, at this website. The Universal Life Church is totally non-denominational, interfaith and welcomes all religions. After you fill out the ordination form, you will receive a pop-up instant credential, which serves as your receipt of your ordination. Print it immediately.

As a ULC (Universal Life Church) minister, you can officiate one wedding ceremony or you can make weddings, funerals, baptisms, house blessings, etc. your business. You can even start your own ministry. The Universal Life Church is interfaith and non-denominational.

We have, online, free training for ministers, an online, one-year seminary program, where you can receive a diploma to enhance your knowledge and your credibility, and a monk program.

While you don’t have to purchase anything from the ULC to gain the legal benefits, entitlements and respect, we do offer a wide variety of materials to assist you in your ministry and/or business.

We offer the acclaimed Ministry In A Box, which contains all the books, materials, ceremonies and training that you need to start your business off right. We also offer the Monastery Credential Package, which has crucial information for the new minister. We have a bookstore and a free monthly newsletter, which you will begin receiving after your free instant ordination.

We offer other services as well like the Absolution of Sins & Granting of Plenary Indulgence, confidential counseling, private communication by telephone in emergencies, assistance in securing government benefits you may be entitled to, help in preparing government state/federal paperwork, Letters of Good Standing in states requiring such documents, and assistance in becoming all you are meant to be. Br. Daniel posts weekly training sermons that you can access at your convenience. We also post, regularly, sermons from ministers like YOU! So feel free to submit either a religious or spiritual sermon to [email protected]. (All submissions to the Universal Life Church / ULC Monastery Inc. become property of the church. If you wish to retain rights to your submission please contact the church prior to making your submission to make arrangements.)

Browse through our extensive guest book and meet hundreds of people who list their email address and visit our online chat forums. Share your views, debate issues, and make many new friends. There is so much to explore! We are proud to have you as an affiliate and the more educated and experienced you become the more proud of yourself you will become.

We believe you, we believe in you, we accept you - we offer our hand to you to share respect, wealth, power and influence in the world through the power of God as you believe; your beliefs count in the ULC.

We ask only that you promote the freedom of religion and do that which is right. It is up to the individual to determine what is right as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others and is within the law. That is as close to the Golden Rule as one can come.

This site has ordained more than 400,000 ministers since 1995. It is the most extensive, most often visited Universal Life Church website on the internet, world-wide. We have tens of thousands of visitors every month. Come explore our world and visit us often.

I will be your personal minister and advisor, with your consent, at no charge to you. I am here for you each day and I recall a Scripture which says "there is a friend, which sticketh closer than a brother" and I wish to be that friend to you. What would I need to do for you for you to be that type of friend to me?

Respectfully,
Brother Daniel Zimmerman

Linda, Don't include me in your blast about controlling liberals! I offered you some good advice in an effort to improve the degree of civility here.

Anyone, including Colin should have the right to call themselves reverend whether or not that title was conferred upon them by any religious organization.

Having said that, I don't believe that unquestioning respect should be given to those with the title.

To think that colin is abusing the class of people who call themselves "reverend" is silly.

As far as the post, It was something to debate. Maybe it's true, maybe not. It has a ring of truth to it.

Roadsmith, I'm sure I answered you, If not, I didn't see the post.

The Universal Life Church:
This should explain my motives:

Yes that is my picture in the upper left hand corner. I never said I was a handsome man.

Not only have I started my own Church, I'm thinking about going into the Cult business.

You seem like a likely Candidate. I see you’re easily led by the leftist on the board.

Welcome aboard “Roadsmith of the eternal neon light” That will be your new cult name.

A hemp frock and sandals (make from old tires) will be shipped to you shortly. Your job will be suited to your place in life. You will stand on corners saying “Hey” to passing, possible new members. Of course with hard work you can work your way up to selling flowers at the airport. You’ll get to keep 5% of that money. Bigpee should think about this too. This could be his first “Successful business venture”

REMEMBER:

Amen,
Reverend Colin

piinthesky - Looking for a Deacon huh? Whether I would consider applying for the job would depend on whether you were going to set a goal of reforming the antagonists or for the purpose of encouraging them.

lol - dbl....and I could be Sister Linda's Got Her Groove Back.

Yes, helen, even though I didn't mention your name in my post to roadsmith....your guilty conscience was at full boar. You are one of them - without a doubt. Bossy...bossy...bossy.

Look who's talking....One who is in favor of tattling to vendio as a method of control...a ratfink in other words.

Instead, I offered you reasonable advice.

I have to agree with Helen in that if Colin wants to call himself Reverend, he has every right to. He may not fit the bill as far as how I expect a Reverend to act, but neither do some Catholic priests who go around raping young children.

As far as Colin's OP, that has been going around the Internet for a long time now. I got it sometime last year from my brother, the traitor Republican.

I pay little, if any, attention to "pass this on" emails anymore unless they contain a joke I think the people I know would find funny. Too many of those I've gotten have turned out to be a farce and I've ended up with egg on my face.

Linda...You are now engaging in reprehensible behavior...but that's normal operating prcedure for you.

Your silly effort to protray me as a drunk without any basis for that insinuation only serves to make you look like the loser that you are...a bad one.

LOL helen. Looks like I made my POINT to you.

How it looks to you when it's being done to you ...is OH SO DIFFERENT than when it's being done to me. THEN you cheerlead for those who have said vile, vulgar things about me and my son......and it's okay....shouldn't be reported. Should be allowed to continue...

but let someone make a false [supposedly] statement about you....and it's a whole different ball game to you.

The truth linda is that I never cheered the fellow who made vile statements about you and your son.

I don't have any problem defending myself against your vile and unfounded statements. Why should you need my help in your defense.

What a grotesque idea.

In summation, you admitted that you lied about me in an attempt to make a point. Then you lied that I cheered someone who make a vile statement about you.

Awesome!

LOl helen....I have no intention of rehashing all that you've said when others have used, or exceeded your own manner of 'foul' lanugage towards others....YOUR OWN foul language that I've already mentioned. But anyone here has read your statements themselves...and I believe see it/you much differently than you are able to see yourself.

Some of your liberal bossy ways show up in how you expect one being attacked to deal with it...what you think they shouldn't do - what you think they should do when that happens. While it's a whole different ball game and you're quick to call right leaning posters here on what you see as their behavior that is 'running posters off'. But....NEVER when some vile, untrue thing is said by someone on the left. NEVER do you come in and post in a chastizing way to a leftie....no, then you go into your routine of: "It's not my place to defend you." But you'll sure defend them when they're on the receiving end.

The word 'hypocrite' defines your own actions, helen.

Rev. Colin: The consensus here, from people I do respect, seems to be that I was out of line telling you to remove the Rev. from your moniker. In retrospect, I think they're right, so I won't badger you anymore about that. Sorry.

While I have never been one who has sought to be 'respected' by any liberal here....I do wish to say I find it admirable that you were able to say you were sorry to Colin. It's speaks volumns to your personal character, roadsmith.

And I mean that sincerely.

Rev Colin..you exemplify all I admire about man made religion! Carry on, we all march to the tune of a different drummer and as long as you are meeting the needs of those who choose to follow you..then what's the harm..I admire those who can bend minds.

Helen, please know that I for one, and many others here I'm sure ...have read LindaK's continual attempts to slur and slander you by painting you as an alcoholic.

It is obvious that LindaK is extremely jealous of you and her frustration from not being able to compete with you on an intellectual level leads her to strike out at you in the only way she can.. kind of like a person who doesn't have a very good vocabulary will swear and curse at their opponent because of their limited knowledge of words. Helen, it is only too obvious how much power you hold over LindK..

Thanks, Maggie. I really appreciate that.

Of course, her allegation is false. But even if her remark was true, it would still be a dirty, below the belt tactic to use a poster's drinking problem in order to smear their character. Besides being unscrupulous, it indicates weakness and a desperate need to overcome some kind of inferiority complex... as you suggested.

Another individual who used to post here has smeared several people with that brush and now enjoys the status of most infamous. Maybe that's the direction in which linda wants to travel.

Maybe Linda has Helen confused with George Bush, the known alcoholic.

Talk about a hypocrite! Bush's alcoholism is OK with Linda but then she uses it as a very UNCIVIL slur against another poster !

Uh, Linda, George is the alcoholic and Helen is the one with the brains

Oh, Linda, do you do the same drugs that Rush the CONSERVATIVE drug addict is addicted to ?????
