On May 7th,2000 The BidBay CEO put out a $500.00 reward for information to find out who wrote this review of BidBay.
http://www.auctionwatch.com/awdaily/reviews/bidbay.html
He claimed it would be "just for kicks."
This is ridiculous behaviour of a man in charge of a company that plans on going public.
And guess who the winner/recepient of the reward was?
I'm sure they will be in at some time or another to confirm.
Edited to add year date.

ag2,
I'd just like to say that I applaud your efforts to shine a light on the absurd and disturbing behavior of the bidbay staff (especially the "CEO" . I've been watching these turkeys since they launched, and I'm constantly amazed by their circus antics.
BTW, any idea what the story is with bidbay "VP" Wes Cooley? He's the guy that got kicked out of congress a couple of years ago for lying about his war record. He must be their marketing guy or something.

He has a felony conviction for lying in the voter registry. Lying about being a war hero is the lowest of low if you ask me.

AG2,
Guess who. Still parking. You must be another loser who got thrown out of bidbay, or wished you could be them, or hired on by someone for peanuts to shed the light.
For starters, it's ammuzing that someone would take such devoted effort to find all they can on something, someone else,
Secondly, how can you compare yourself to someone who is second to ebay, launching to be publicly traded, but, yet, you have all the answers.
Just a simple question, if you are so smart, why don't you have your own auction site?
Answer please???????

"hired on by someone for peanuts"
I wish I had some peanuts right now. The circus is always better with peanuts!

Well whoever he is he is no longer fullofknowledge1!
That person once posted a thread here at AW that he was seeking venture capital to start up an auction site, but just a few days earlier he posted on another board that he was terminally ill and had just a few months to live.
Where are those peanuts? I ordered them an hour ago!

I will take this time to answer fullofknowledge1's post.
#1 I have not been kicked out of BidBay. However my posting privileges were revoked by posting a link to BidBay's SB2 filing.
#2 I have no desire to run or own an auction site.
#3 I do not have all of the answers but I am finding some and it seems to bother you.
Why? It's the truth. I have the links, the printouts, and the emails to prove it.
As far as comparing myself to anyone where have I done that sir/madame?
And I will continue this devoted effort to reveal these truths about BidBay.
I can be threatened all day long with legal action, and lawsuits can actually be carried out...but there's one defense against accusations of slander, defemation, libel and oh you and your friends little phrase "business economics interference." And that is the truth and the truth shall set you free.

WHAT?? You mean to tell me someone was posting using the name auctiongallery3?? Boy they will never stop will they...I just want to say AG2 That I do agree with what you are doing. The truth will set you free and it will help alot of ppl to know the truth of Bidbay. I have always felt there are some shady dealings with that company. Now I am really starting to have my doubts about some of the ppl that posts for them as well. And of course these are MY OPINIONS ONLY..no one forced me or paid me to say them.

Okay new one...come one come all.
On May 22nd.
The BidBay CEO made offers of $5.00 for every "authentic" story regarding problems with eBay.
And they wonder why they are down $3 million.
With all of these bounties out, $10,000 for the hacker, I forgot how much the one for SEABHS was, $500.00 for the writer of the review and now this.

could have actually bankrupted Bill Gates if he had offered something like that as I know a lot of people do get upset with eBay as well.

You missed the best part. There never was a hacker. The hacker "reward" story was just a way to get publicity for themselves. Standard circus tactics
