Anyone else here moved over to ioffer? It's not an auction but a sellers and Buyer's format. Almost like a Flea Market or swapmeet.
I've moved a ton of stuff from Ebay. (just can't afford them any more) Listing is free, FVF's are low and you can still have the item on Ebay or where ever for auction. (You just don't put a price on the item you have on ioffer. That way a potential buyer can make an offer on your item.) The Community is great and the Support is unbelievable.
It seems the traffic is doubling by the day. That's a good thing. I'm hoping Auction Watch and a few others partner up with this new format. I like it!!
Amen,
Reverend Colin

Ioffer has added stores to there site. Check it out. They are free too. It's wtill building. Sales are on the rise. Thanks God. I think the auction and internet sales are going up because of tax refunds. Otherwise I notice all is slow. Here'd the address to my Ioffer store.

I love ioffer,it is different than an auction..If you list there you can list for free, fvf only Buy one get one free on FEATURES,,list 30 or 60 days no extra,2nd category .50 for 30 or 60 days.great deal!

Many coming over from all sites huge growth,Check out the stores many having sales.
Many are getting better prices at ioffer than the other sites, works best if you put a price a little higher than you want so you can bargain.
Some have tried there & don't come to chat for tips, don't type in listing for new buyers to see NOT AN AUCTION,BUY NOW OR MAKE OFFER NO WAITING. you need to refer your friends & customers, don't list just a few items, give it a little time all the things you do when trying a new site. Some put 3 items on,don't refer their customers, don't come to chat, don't put their shipping or see my other items or visit my store in their ads & expect INSTANT SALES..those days are long gone, but this site is worth the time if you want a 2nd site,or to move to a new one.
Not some tiny little site, this was EWANTED for 2 years, bought by employees..a million members,Ewanted spent over 40 million in advertsing..this is different.Owners have great features, want ads as sales leads, mrgrabber mirror your ebay listings at ioffer free,,import your feedback..YOU MAY LINK TO YOUR WEBSITE as long as you link back to your ioffer listings.Only rule is no email addresses on the site, their mail system works fabulous,,very stable site.
They have software to prevent scammers,,NO SHILL BIDDING RINGS AS NO BIDDING..love this clean site.

One seller just sold 12 ITEMS IN HIS IOFFER STORE THIS MORNING,I made two very nice sales a few days ago, great hits they put your store & profile in the search engines..THIS SITE ROCKS..
GREAT HONEST SHARP OWNERS & STAFF the best support on the net..

IOFFER ROCKS selling is fun again there.Proud to say i sell there, would refer a frined or family member to buy there too.check it out!
Free customizable store with a shopping cart if you list 2 items YOU SAVE using the store, there is only one fvf on total in the store no matter how many items bought.

Hi

I am just curious about the Froogle searches. Is anyone seeing any results or difference? I only have a few listings and they don't come up on a search. This is even using specific words in my title and description. I have gone in and done searches using again very specific wording from someone else's listings and come up with nothing in a Froogle search.

Before I use any more time on the free shop--can anyone comment, please?

Thanks!
Cathy

Cathy,
I too have been trying to find out about the Froogle thing. I was on Froogle through ioffer and then off. I think it's problems with Froogle.

I'm planning to set up my website with froogle today. I will have links to ioffer on that.

Froogle is still in a Beta stage. I think the bugs will be sorted shortly.

I am getting many more hits and sales now then when I first moved here.

Hope this answered some of your questions.
Amen,
Reverend Colin

Colin

Thanks for the honest input.

I only have so much time to devote to online selling . Even if ioffer is free to list -it takes time to list. Last time I listed--I lost 4 items--I don't know where. I hit the end of upload button--and the whole chain was gone. Froogle was a plus for the site.

I am building an independant website--as per another thread.I am also opening an AW shop--with all items one price--free shipping. I have loads of costume jewellery and plan on listing a bunch here. These are two tries to find a good place to have money coming in outside of eBay.

BTW--I searched Froogle for "ioffer".The only place it came up was as links back from independant websites.

Anyone using their 'Mr Grabber' software utility? Does it have an 'un-install' with it, or does it show up in the Control Panel 'Remove programs'?

After install Carnaby's Max + Maxime software (very similar to Mr Grabber), with NO way to get rid of it, I hesitate to down load any more software like it, but do need it to do any bulk launching.

tnx

Cathy,
If you give it a try I think You'll like it.

You can use Mr. Grabber to copy all your ebay auctions to ioffer and still have them on ebay. They will come up with a "make an offer" instead of a price.

Check out the stores too. They are free if you have stuff for sale. here's mine. I sell big ticket and small stuff.

http://www.ioffer.com/viewShop.do?sellerID=cyoung67

I still use ebay for a few things a week. I have about 400 pieces on ioffer. You can put them on for up to 60 days. It's like having a store. I see it building day by day.

Lot's more I could tell you but I've got to get to work myself.
Amen,
Reverend Colin

Hi i beleive the way froogle has it listed is ioffer.com
1,763 links to ioffer
http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=ioffer.com

when you see all the links,,that is ioffers fabulous linking system thru the recommend feature..we all link to each other and they provide banners to put on our websites..
it works..i am #1 at google, yahoo,& aol on the more unusual item i sell...tried for years,,they did it just like that, you need some uniuqe keywords..

to sell there you need to stop by chat,,many tips,,like TYPE IN NOT AN AUCTION USE BUY NOW OR MAKE OFFERS,no waiting..stuff like that makes a huge difference in sales..

Google is the number 1 search engine check this out for ioffer Results 61,800 for ioffer.com

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&sa=G&q=%22ioffer.%2Bcom%22

guys not trying to cheerlead here, but share a great site used to be e-wanted for 2 years, bought by the employess,,very kewl people tons of innovative features inc want ads as sales leads. Only rules no email addresses on the site & if you link to your website please link back they even host the banners..instead of not being "allowed to promote on boards, they gave us a board to post pics of our items etc..very different,we are free to sell our way.
This is not just another little site that won't grow,,it is growing powersellers coming over daily has a base of a million members of e-wanted too..!
Labelle you may be able to find those in MYIOFFER or write [email protected] he rocks..but probably they never went through,,on the form i just hit submit and it works fine,,,if you go on and do more and never hit that submit button they won't go through..Best support on the net for sure..check it out..

Aren't the final value fees very high on lower priced items?

According to the site, final value fee on an item up to $4.99 is 50 cents. That works out to 10% or more, depending on the closing price.

Seems the fees get a little more reasonable when an item is sold at $25 or more.

Hi well there is free listing 30 or 60 days with free relists, free store with shopping cart with 2 items listed.
The good part for sellers of smaller priced items is if they sell multiple items(some sellers have a min purchase for low priced items) at the store there is only one final sales fee on the Total (not on each item like most sites)no matter how many items bundled that is a huge savings for sellers.
Most smaller item sellers are selling out of the store that way & are very happy with it..
My sales average in the 20.00-40.00 range better than at any site i have ever been at so far in years. Many buyers of higher priced items browsing, many quality items listed & the influx from ioffer putting our profiles and stores in the search engines is bringing in a lot of new buyers,,also the base of the old e-wanted members that site was mostly buyers.

stonecold613,

Traffic is building in leaps and bounds. I'm selling on ioffer. I still use ebay for a few items.

What is it you sell? Have you tried ioffer?

If your a seller, it's a tool like the auction sites or a website. IKf your a buyer it works like a flea market or garage sale. You can make an offer on an item or pay the asking price and the deals done.

I've made several sales since I joined in Noverember of 2002.

Waiting for the gallery PIC feature myself. I know that will triple the traffic and sales. A lot of buyers find things that are Pictured, they would have a hard time searching for.

What do you have to lose? List for free, up to 60 days listings, free store, a hell of a profile page set up and customer support like no other site on the web.

Amen,
Reverend Colin

Hi
I have been lisitng on ioffer for over 5 months, my sales have gone up 10 times.
Yes I still list on other sites.
But I find the more you list and put fair prices on your items the more you sell.
If you list just two items on the ioffer site you get your store and its FREE.
All other sites that have store charge a monthly fee, but not ioffer.
Go to any of the sellers store and you can make bulk offers, you can not do that on onther sites.
AT Auction prices go higher--
But at ioffer.com prices can go down with your fair offers.
Go try this site what do you have to lose NOTHING. NO listing fees!!! You only pay fees when you sell.
My user name on the ioffer site is lotsofstuff.
