Actually, KD...I've never quoted the Bible to point out hypocrisy. After Linda mocked the fact that I quoted from the bible, I explained to her that the bible contains good literature and wisdom. She seems to resent the fact that an atheist can find wisdom and guidelines for a good life in the Bible...a book that she must feel is only the privilege of believers in God to use.

Thanks so much Maggie. I truly think everyone's kindness has made a difference. Maybe everybody's God.
I don't know much about this type of cancer, but I know last Saturday they pulled him off all iv's because they didn't think he would come out of his coma. His calcium levels had skyrocketed (I wish Snowy was here to explain this) and his kidneys had shut down. The family was making funeral arrangements on Sunday but by that night, he came out of the coma, his kidneys started working again and is now up to the point where they have decided to operate tomorrow at 10:30 am. There will be 4 doctors and they'll remove his one kidney and a tumor on his other one. We're all hoping and pr*ying he'll be strong enough to pull through, but no matter which way it turns out, your support and kindness have meant the world to us all.
P.S. Packrat, wherever you are, thank-you from the bottom of my heart.

I too again wish your FIL only the best.
These actual prayers that were offered up for him...may have been what turned things around.
ot: packratsattic...doesn't know your history on organized religion nor your previous statements about it all either, KD. Nor your accusations about sheep...blind followers that you call others here....me included.
But maybe all these "sheep" you make fun of...these blind followers by faith in their God...did make a difference in your FIL's improvement. Think about that before you go there again please.

I feel exactly the same way about both of you foul-mouthed people...maggie and crowfarm/mingotree.
My best wishes are very sincere....but I'd also like KD to recognized that while she doesn't expect HER god to change things....like her FIL's condition....many believers in Him, no matter from which faith, DO believe prayers are answered....do make a BIG difference.
So...live with it you two.

Linda, calling people blind followers or sheep is not a bad thing. When a person follows the/a leader without question, they are like sheep. You make it sound like I have a history of satan worshipping.
And yes, I said I thought everyone's prayers and positive thoughts made a difference. Even the doctors said it was highly unusual. Maybe collectively, we all have the power to make changes, but don't realize it.

Well...imo it's not. None of us EVER know what another poster may be going through...when you post your vile/hatefilled threads and enjoy sucking the life juices out of others. Stop and think, just once, they too may be suffering.....not only when it come to someone you favor.

My father-in-law hasn't regained consciousness since the operation and probably won't at this point. He had a good week before the operation which was a blessing. Thank-you everyone for all your good thoughts and kind words. I think it really made a difference.
