Has anyone stopped you from saying Merry Christmas?
Has anyone stopped you from going to church?
Has anyone stopped you from decorating your home with religious symbols or pagan symbols (like Christmas trees and Yule logs)?

Yes, mg, there are many in school that have been restricted from using their Constitutional rights and haven't been allowed to say Merry Christmas to others.
Just like the nativity scenes that are being forced down. Like the pledge, like our coins, like the ten commandments, like most everything God related. The liberals and atheists are trying to remove all mention of God from the public forum.
MEANWHILE they're promoting gay sex in the movies in the schools and think unrestricted sex is a okay. THEN they want all taxpayers to foot the bill for their bad choices.
Being allowed to say Merry Christmas is only a tiny bit of what's being changed....AND why more and more people are starting to do something about it.

Yes, "they" do, the Pentagon's secret-no-longer department probably does monitor what religious leaders are saying to make sure they fall in line like good little "comrads".

Well, when KD starts a thread about the serious illness of her relative who is dying and linda responds only to question KD's belief in god and to call KD an airhead and a pot user it makes news of an "infamous" variety.

Well....Jesus IS the reason for the season.... They each have their own special days to celebration their religious holidays.
Well Jesus was Jewish.
Basically what the Christians are saying in my opinion is that they need to have "Christmas" because their religion is more superior than that of the Jewish people who celebrate Hanukah.
"Happy Holidays" is just one way for government agencies to recognize the way each religion and those who do not consider themselves religous care to recognize the holiday without singling out one religion over the other. This is what is in the Constitution.
But no that is not good enough for the Christians, they need to have "Merry Christmas" as the official slogan for the holiday season.

There's no one being singled out anymore than they have been since this country was founded. What utter nonsense. Religious displays of all sorts are out in public places. The only ones being complained about are Christian ones.

Christmas and Hanukkah will be falling on the same day this year so I will be celebrating the two holidays on the same day... My daughter married a Jewish fellow.

Why not just do away with Christmas altogether?? Afterall, isn't it a holiday that is based on a religeous belief and doing away with it will complete the seperation of church and state when it comes to this holiday??
But no, wait a minute, that can't possibly be the answer because then our economy will fail without Christmas. Aha, there's the rub. No one, not even lefties would want to totally do away with Christmas because it brings so much money into circulation and boosts the economy.
Instead the left will just hack away at it, trying to transform it into something that fits in with their beliefs, even knowing that it was/is based on religeous beliefs but if it boosts the economy then well, ok that's fine we'll keep it, if for nothing else because it will boost the economy.

Nope...you're just talking about most anti-American ultra liberal posters there. Most of whom couldn't even say anything about any of the topics mentioned....unless it was just to post some insult. No wonder you're so proud of all of them....that the MOST many could accomplish.
All are appalled? Nope.....I receive a lot of supportive emails telling me what they thought of those Bush haters.
The rest of them I could care less. They're just what Colin saw and experienced when he first started posting there.
Less than a handful could manage to carry on an on topic discussion. Says a LOT about the liberals as a whole group to me.
No wonder you guys can't win the WH and seats in Congress.

How about Walmart, Target and others not selling Christmas Trees anymore. This year they have Holiday Trees. Nobody really cares about the phrase "Happy Holidays" since it's been in use for decades. This silly Wal-Mart story is what caused all the ruckus this year.
This is simply pandering to those who yell the loudest the atheists. When the Christians yell back, they're accused of bigotry. What "Holiday" are they referring to?
There are no Hannukah Trees, no Kwanzaa trees. Solstice people wouldn't want a dead tree in their house. No, it is and always has been a CHRISTMAS TREE. If you don't celebrate CHRISTMAS, you wouldn't buy a tree anyway.
