Ebay is just so good to us don't you know? You see they are just trying to keep us entertained and occupied when we can't roam around their site. The plan is we will each get a different page to look at. Some will have snowflakes, and I'm sure they will be rolling out the others soon. Maybe I was the only one that got that email asking what I would like to watch on my very own special downtime page.

here must be a fine line between a flake and an eBay technician...

The snowflakes are a nice touch, they remind me how much I love relocating to the south. On the screen they aren't cold and wet, but the old reflex did come back for a bit and I was about to take my ice scraper to my monitor.

All I need now is for eBay to add some music to the opening screen. Maybe Burl Ives singing "Have A Happy, Jolly, Christmas" would add that little touch to make people crowd around the auction table and form long bidding lines.

Here's some snowflakes for you Bill, to get you in the mood for what's ahead...personally I don't like the accumulative little guys very much!

Didn't I read somewhere that Meg Whitman was doing the voice over in the new version of

"The GLITCH that Stole Christmas"?

Well, Bill, if you think it's appropriate, you can always remove the first two letters & replace it with a "B".

Love the snowflakes but they should be gently falling across the whole screen. If we have pretty pictures to look at we will be much less upset when nothing else works--snowflakes will soothe the angry beasts we are!

While the evidence is anecdotal, the suggestion that what we are seeing are crystalized brain cells that have been shed by the management team over this past year is not without merit.

It would go a long way towards explaining much of what has happened.

It would also suggest an extended fall with very deep coverage.

In any case I'll go for the soothing electronic illusion over the apparent fantasy of a stable site.

reston_ray LOL

Give me the snow and presents! My auctions on Yahoo do so WELL when Ebay is down!

Course the few auctions on Ebay don't do that well, but que sara, there ARE pretty pictures!

Thanks, Ebay, for all of the help you are giving the other auction sites. How EVER did you come up with such a fabulous gift idea?

I'd like to see the snowflakes sparkle and turn around. Then once in a while I'd like to see a reindeer or two prong across the screen followed by one of Santa's elves. While I'm at it, I would like to see some more bids on my auctions.

How about if the pointer was Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Everytime that he got to a clickable item, his nose would light up.

My favorite Christmas song, by the way, is Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer--wonder if they could make it play that song while I browsed with my little Rudolph pointer?

You know, if they'd require Meg to only be able to exercise her $34M in stock options by selling them on ebay..THEN I bet we'd have site stability!
