Colin, first off, I have never said I was a non-believer, ever, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from. The rest of your post was made by a glass house resident, so maybe you should re-review what you said.
Double, I said I DIDN'T believe God was a man in the sky, which I don't. Some do, I don't.
As for starting this topic, I didn't want to talk (at otwa) about something that happened over here, which Linda brought up. I thought that was clear in my first post. Why did Linda say, so emphatically, that she would prove I said something if she didn't want to talk about it? Do you think maybe she tried to find all these so-called things I've said and couldn't? What do you think, Colin and Double?
Helen & Kiara, I agree that she's not normally this intense and nasty. She's like a spree killer, shooting at everything in her path.

But the question is why do we care so much about what she says. I think this is what she craves all the attention and here we are supplying it by keeping her name in lights.

Stating an opinion is not a whine, dblfugger. Perhaps because you are here to whine all day you read other's opinions as whining.
And the mother comment is interesting. I have a mother and certainly don't have any need to look for another, that's what you seem to be seeking.

Lindak drops a lie or twists some info and then runs or tries to cover up when she has nothing to substantiate her claims.
When she is called on it and backed into a corner, instead of facing up to it she throws more insults and then turns on someone else and does the very same thing. Then she claims she's one of the most civil ones on the board. And she truly seems to see herself that way, that's why it's sad.
There's not much point discussing the topic when most of the time you're correcting the BS said about you.
Lindak wrote some info about Kraft, said she could find the exact quote and now doesn't have the courage to face up to what she's written.

The way I see it, instead of debating any given subject it is always a pissing contest, there is no more conversation, logic or listening.. it just goes immediately to name calling and mud slinging.
You have to have an open mind to be able to discuss or debate a subject and her mind is closed to any views but her own.
She isn't the only one guilty of this here. I think there are a few of us who aren't stuck in "one track mode" who can still reason and accept that it is not all black and white.
Unfortunately, there are a few (from both sides) who suffer from tunnel vision and can't think outside of the box.
I've been called a fence straddler and wishy washy and some have even accused me of joining the Republican's here because I didn't see things all black and white as they have. I call it keeping an open mind and not being a sheep for either party.

Maggie, all of us have tunnel vision when it comes to how we feel. In that respect, Linda is no different than anyone else. But like Mivona said (in so many words) - you have to understand both sides before you can move forward. (Don't we all want to move forward instead of living in the past?) I think that's what others are attempting with Linda - to understand another point of view, but getting no support whatsoever at her attempting to understand theirs. Seems pretty self-centered to me, but she's history now (I think).
