So, as Kiara said, people should just keep opposing views to themselves? How can people make decisions if they're only shown one side, unless a leader is going for automatons? I sure don't want to see that happen to any country.

Kraftdinner you need to separate Political Leaders from yourself. They should have the courtesy to speak to a leader of another country in private.
Now if we were to leave NAFTA and slam the open border shut and tell the government of Canada to piss off then that would be something different. But you are the ones always bringing up we are partners and you depend on the US.

Yes to Bacon.
We shouldn't have to hear crap like Martin was spewing considering you're supposedly our "partner".
What crap was Martin spewing about the US? How did he belittle the US?
Martin said “Friends live up to their agreements”.
Was that a bit too harsh for you, Ron?

Kiara, it sounds like Washingtonebayer is talking about how Martin is opposed to the Iraq war and very vocal about it. Bush disciples don't go for that kind of talk. According to Ron, disagreements should only be discussed behind closed doors.

Kraft that is correct, it was not his place to talk about President Bush if he was not going to participate.
It would be nice if Canada lived up to their agreements. Harper will probably have a rough time, but some good could come from this. Especially if kraftdinner disagrees with it, it is already good.

What agreements didn't Canada live up to?
If Harper would have been in power a couple of years ago Canada's young people would be fighting a useless war in Iraq, getting maimed and killed along with the US troops.
Harper has now changed his position on the war.
"If I were prime minister, we would not be involved in Iraq. I would encourage the Americans and hope they're successful, but our government would not be there." Conservative Leader Stephen Harper, Dec. 13, 2005 at a press conference in Trenton, Ont.

I think you're mixed up, washingtonebayer. Canada never had an agreement to go to war in Iraq with the US.
Canada went to Afghanistan with the US..... remember searching for Bin Ladin and then Bush said he wasn't important anymore and pulled some troops out and sent them to Iraq to cause a mess. But today Bush changed his mind again and says Bin Ladin should be taken seriously after all. But now he's a few years too late and things are worse than ever in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
As I've always said, Bush is an easy man to judge and Bin Ladin can play him like a puppet. Bush 'stays the course' whereas a good leader would keep the enemy wondering.
I doubt you understand the softwood lumber situation either. Perhaps you should read more about it.

Kraft, I'm glad Martin was tough. If there is another attack Harper may have no hesitation getting Canada involved in more wars.

By "Bush", I mean the ones in control and since he's the supposed leader he takes the responsibilty for the direction of the war and inevitably what happens.
The commanders follow orders which come from the top down. They do not have carte blanche and if you believe they do then you are misinformed about war.

I have a big yard so I'm looking forward to spring so I can see if there are any bulbs in the gardens. It's my business location that's taking all my time nowadays but hopefully we will be finished with the major work in another week or so.
How do you like your new windows? Is all the work finished now?

I guess Colin couldn't think of any Liberal social programs to support his statement even though he had more than a day to come up with some.

You just so want to blame Bush for something and everything! LOL! But that doesnt stop you from giving the world's stupidest opinions on military matters - as if anybody believes you have intelligence enough to regard it. Your judgements are nothing but skewered out of your backside, and straining at that.

Washingtonbayer
The fact that you address me as "comrade" would lead one to believe that you are the type of individual who exaggerates while using innuendo and lies in an attempt to denigrate and slander my character and mischaracterize my political affiliation.
You apparently see me as a communist, based only on the fact that I support universal health care.
Do you use the same exaggeration in your self evaluation and see yourself as a neo-fascist, Ron? If not, do you think that it would be fair if I insinuate that you are a neofacist without basis just as you insinuate that I am a communist without basis?

Washingtonebayer, why is it that you can bash Martin or other leaders but if anyone dares give their opinion of Bush and it isn't favorable then you get all sensitive?
Once again you're in a snit because others disagree with you and have the courage to honestly say how they feel.
It's interesting to see that some of you find opposing opinions so threatening. If you were in business it would most likely destroy you the minute you hit the real world and faced any competition.
