It's called forming ones OWN opinion of anothers political leanings based on their years of comments/posts. And I agree with Ron's initial statement...as I see helen further left than a normal socialist. I've even ASKED her if she is one [a communist] a couple of times.
Makes the hair on her back stand up real fast.

The term "neocon" is short for Neoconservative. This is a valid description of a certain real political philosophy/mindset, and is not derogatory.
The term "neo-con" (with dash) emphasizes the "con" and is therefore derogatory, implying that the person is a con or somehow shady.
Sometimes a "-" can make a big difference.

There's a reason helen has been called Baghdad Helen and Hanoi Helen....and it comes from how people take her political statements here. They don't just pull it out of thin air. There's also a reason different people have questioned whether or not she is a socialist or communist too....and imo, that comes from the links she posts/links that share positions she agrees with.
And anyone who reads the socialist party of America's website....will see much helen states as her views as their postions too.
As I said....it doesn't just come from thin air.
Whether or not she chooses to admit it, like others here have, she is further left than most liberals....and she's definitely an Internationalist first...

On one occassion, years ago you accused me of using an article from the Moscow Times. The truth is that I purchased an article from the New York Times. You googled the article and found that it had also been published in the Moscow Times which led you to the rash conclusion that I was a communist since I read the Moscow Times. This kind of crazy and illogical thought is characteristic of you, linda.
By the way, Do you realize that an article that you posted to OTWA on Jan.11-06, 07:51:36 is copied from the World Socialist Web Site? The article is by Robert Stevens, a writer for the World Socialist Web Site, titled Britain: National Health Service faces funding crisis.
Although the article is a good one, if I had used such an article from the World Socialist Web Site, you would preface your every post with that "news" along with your ignorant opinion that therefore I must be a socialist.

I served in the military to stop communism, so if she were, nothing to report vendio is basically ignoring what happens here. But then I will address her as such.
I personally despise socialists/communists they have destroyed to many countries to let them try that here.
