That is good news Linda. On my last surgery I had a spinal. Only way to go. Cat napped through out the whole thing.

In the recovery room, I was drinking coffee 30 minutes after the surgery, sure beats laying around in a daze for hours.

10 weeks without being able to get up and move on your own? Remind me never to do that to myself Linda - I would be impossible to deal with after day 3.

Hope you get thru it with a greater degree of sanity than I could hope to.

ROFLOL at you pi.

We'll find out just how GOOD he IS Thursday...lol

Good looking young doctor....but you would be drooling at the beautiful young nurses that surround him all day too. Wow....one of them could have been a model....absolutely gorgeous looking....perfect 'eye' candy for ALL men.

Oh to be young again....knowing what I know now.

Bear....I had a spinal when my youngest son was born.....and slept though much of his birth. lol

According to the doc...I should be fully awake and able to watch the surgery via mirrors he said he'd have set up so I could. He knows I LOVE watching surgeries being done. Always find it so interesting.

So...in that way...and that way alone lol...I'm looking forward to it.
-----------

I know what you mean fenix....I've been thinking about that too. Stir crazy...cabin fever. But I have several friends here who will come pick me up and get me out of here on and off....so I'm grateful for that.

I've been kind of laid up for that past 6 weeks anyway....had surgery on my toes 6 weeks ago and wasn't getting around too well as it was. lol Think that might have been a contributing factor to my fall.

So...the 6 weeks I've already been pretty much held down...and now this....not being able to walk at all.....you're right. If I wasn't crazy before [which some here made comment about ]....I will be by the time this is over. lol

I'll try hard not to take it out on you guys/gals. IF I cross the line...I'm sure someone will let me know it.

How? Oh just trying out some of KD's sexual positions....didn't work to well for me.

Hey Linda,

Sorry to hear about your leg. When it heals, I can help you out with those various positions. Here is one to contemplate.

Linda when is the surgery? duh can't read forget that LOL. Spinal is good way not so much after affects. Screws are good too at least they won't be pins all way through leg. Just thinking of that sends chills up my back and makes my leg hurt all over again. PLUS they usually don't have to remove the screws.

Be thinking of you and hoping for the best.

I've always said classic has a GREAT sense of humor. This just proves it. lol lol

Why is it so many men think and brag about 'theirs' being just SO big/special??? Women already know the truth....learned that's rarely true a long, long time ago.

Thank you maggie.

Thanks for asking irked....no, you were right supposed to be today but they cancelled it.

Now rescheduled for this coming Monday...maybe...or Tuesday....maybe.

The only luck I've had lately is bad luck.

The doc that was going to give me the epidural...wouldn't take the risk on me bleeding out, he said. But he would put me under IF my ortho doc wanted him to do that.

Had to wait until he was in between surgeries to ask him. Nope...he didn't want to take the risk of putting me out completely.

So....I'll have to wait.....and wait....until my blood clots properly.

I was NOT a happy camper since it had taken all of the morning and most of the PM before they decided to tell me they were cancellin me.

And I had not had one pain pill until after that decision was made.....since last night/bedtime.

Grrrr.....but....such is life and that's over and done with. Now looking forward/hoping for surgery on Monday.

The worst part of any surgery in my humble opinion is the waiting and uncertainty. & the doing without food water and medication until they get to you. Keep us posted.

Does any body here care if I walk around with a cracked mirror?

I like my own reflections what a revelation!

Hi Stonecold...thanks for asking.

I'm on the 'count down'. Ten days until I get this fiberglass cast off and [hopefully] get a boot cast. I'm SOOOooooo looking forward to being able to walk on both legs...rather than hopping around on just one.

------------------

dbl asked: Does any body here care if I walk around with a cracked mirror?

Sure....I do. Quickly throw away that cracked mirror...they're bad luck.
I like my own reflections what a revelation!

Good for you!!! Some people can't stand themselves....
others die a little each day as they watch their 'youthful beauty' fading away. Especially the ones who based their whole self-worth on the beauty they had in their youth. lol  Some have outward beauty....but are ugly on the inside. The fact that you like your own reflection...tells me you're comfortable in your own skin.
