OK, I'll take a shot at the "point" you are attempting to make.
Have you ever read the Safe Harbor Investigations info?
Usually you'll find somehting along the lines of this.
.............................................
Disciplinary action may range from a formal
warning, up to indefinite suspension of a user's account.
.............................................
I bolded the word "account", so you wouldn't miss it.
You state:
After my main account with 400+ feedback was suspended I used my other account. They suspended that account too but then reinstated it as I had done nothing wrong!
Huh???
You can't simply go from one selling ID to another when SH comes knocking at your door. If one ID gets suspended, I don't think eBay allows you to simply start up with another ID & carry on like nothing has happened?
That's why they use the words user account, and not user ID.
Same rules apply to getting suspended from posting on their boards, if they catch you using a different ID, you get nuked for an even longer period.
IMHO the only reason your "other" account got reinstated is because someone at SH goofed, kinda like that "rookie goof" buyer you dealt with a while back.

canvid13,
Trust me I understand what you are going through. I have over 3000 positives on eBay alone, and selling like mad on Yahoo now as well. What most posters here dont understand is how much work is involved. Many are lucky if they have 100 feedbacks, and they come here preaching like they are pros! LOL. I wish Auctionwatch would make a board for real sellers, so we could deal with real problems. I know as a seller with a few thousand feedbacks no one with 100 should judge me. Just a thought.

Shosh: My double??? You know it's one thing to be ignorant and judgmental but quite another to suggest what you've just suggested.
Do you see anything anywhere that I'd have to use a double? Have I hidden anything from this???
Change the meds baby!
Red Deer: I agree with what you are stating but you forgot the part where when I queried them on this EBAY reinstated the second account. It wasn't a new account. I wasn't doing anything different with it than before.
They REINSTATED the second account. I used it and listed a bunch of items and then they chopped it!! A night of work completely wasted!!
THIS IS ALL I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET ACROSS HERE!! That's all!
Sheesh!!

I am not taking sides here, but it is common knowledge that the eBay legal team make their decisions while standing on their heads. Instead of using the "Innocent Until Proven Guilty" theory that the rest of the Free World uses, they do just the opposite. To make matters even more frustrating, they do not invite you to your own trial, nor do they allow you to participate in their "investigation". Kinda like some secret society methinks ...

Canvid ...... I understand that perfectly, it simply makes no difference.
Imagine this scenrio for a moment.
Seller rips off 50 people in a row.
eBay suspends sellers account due to fraud complaints.
Seller thinks, no worries, I have 20 more accounts that I can sell under.
What, you don't see a problem with this?
eBay doesn't allow you to sell under a second account, if your main one gets suspended. Duh.
IMO eBay funged up when they reinstated your second account. How hard is that to understand? Most likely the rookie goof at Safe Harbor didn't understand what was going on? Once he/she did, well, the rest as they say, is history.

UPDATE
I tried a novel approach. I was so upset with Ebay I emailed the 4 people I had allegedly offended.
One had shipped me the goods and was surprised.
One was because I was in Canada and she wouldn't ship to me so she filed a NPCR.
One claimed that he never filed a NPCR.
The final one was outraged at Ebay and sent them off an email as they had done this to him once before!!!
My feedback for the last six months. 97 positives, 4 negatives. Strictly as a buyer as I buy on Ebay and sell on Amazon and Yahoo.
Hope that helps some of you judgmental types who didn't understand what I was talking about!!

In a previous post, you state:
in Ebay's case they are penalizing me for offences spread out over many, many, months
Yes, and as it should be. You get THREE NPB warnings before you get a 30 day suspension, and FOUR before you get the axe for good.
Also, a few of those who NPD me left me NF which is also their perogitive but surely we all could understand why I wouldn't send these folks money afterwards??
Yes, it seems crystal clear to me.

It sounds as though, in your last post, that you never received notification from ebay .. or the sellers.. that they filed against you. This simply can not be. When a NPB report is filed, the bidder recevies a notice and the seller also receives a notice. When the final request is filed, the bidder will receive a notice........ if the reason is non-payment.
So, have you ever received any of these notices.. either the first notice or the second notice.. at least 10 days afterwards? What exactly did they say, since after the first two.. the NPB account is generally suspended for a short period of time............. and after the 4th NPB, the account is suspended indefinitely.

reddeer, whatever point you're trying to make is quite wrong. You're being a demagaugue.
LATEST UPDATE: Tonight I recieved an email from Ebay reinstating my main account after they finally checked the FACTS!! Not reddeer's opinion or poor interpretation.
However, for some reason they haven't reinstated my second account which was the one that had done nothing wrong??
Truly bewildering and they didn't even apologize for my time, trouble and the trashing of my good name.( yes, good name)
I won't list or buy on Ebay until this gets to court as I will be taking Ebay to court regarding this. I'm not the only one they've done this too and if some of you would look at the facts instead of the fact that I really don't focus on catering to every whim of my customers you might learn something??

Well read the whole thread twice and I have to agree with whatsurdeal in this situation. But I salute canvid for stating the reasons and trying to discuss them with some degree of intelligence. Shame on many of you for ignoring the issue in your rush to judge.
And since we got some moderation going on. Maybe smeone can explain how these tidbits escaped the watchful eye.

Last note.
I came to this message board to discuss a real issue. Mostly what I recieved from some of you who seem to leave posts on almost every topic was flaming and suggestions that I use a double and other slurs.
You made it personal instead of focusing on a real problem and real issue regarding a megamillion dollar company pushing around a small company, yet one that's most likely much larger than sum of you.
If these message boards are ever to really do some good some of you should learn to read, understand, and think before prattling on.
There were some very hurtful things written and suggested, not too mention things taken completely out of context!!

Networker .... Still holding a grudge over your last 30 day suspension, or are you looking for a job as an AW moderator?
Canvid ..... Kinda hard to discuss the facts, when the only ones posted are/were so poorly presented. Would have been nice to hear both sides of the story.
If you go back & read your first 2 posts on this thread, it sounded like you were PO'd over being suspended as a NPB. I also didn't realize that when one ID was suspended, that you could carry on with other ID's?
Perhaps you could post the link to that eBay rule/reg?
Good luck in court, I imagine you'll need it.

reddeer - can you address the topic and not the individual or do you have a special pass key that allows you to break the rules and not get warned.
As for your question not holding a grudge on a mission to ensure a degree of fairness and equality is applied to all posters. If that irks you well stop bending the rules.

Hey your record on Ebay "sucks"!! You cannot pick and choose what you want . Those kids at Columbine High had what, 1000 or so other students and only killed 13 or so . Not a bad record, they let 987 live, Yes that is 997 positives, good record huh? Grow up and run your ebay transactions as the business you have. You paid for your mistake just like I paid the late fee on my Credit card when I didn't notice that the address for payment changed and I sent my payment to the old address and it took 15 days to be forwarded. I'm with macandjan on this one. Talk to the hand because no one here cares!

I'm sorry I will stick to the topic: EBAY SUCKS. To make a point there are many people making thousands of dollars that they would have never otherwise earned. They have provided a fairly reliable forum for one to sell his used and surplus goods. It is my opinion that it is not a forum for new or retail type sales. One may sell what he wants. Our local community college has a small business development center that provides FREE help to small businesses to learn how to run and grow small businesses. Perhaps other ebayers have these resources. In dealing with problems with ebay jumping the gun on complaints, I don't think that is true. I have had a few occasions to ask for their help and their standard answer is that they cannot control how the seller handles the sale. It is between myseelf and the seller. Personally if I were to turn selling into a real business I'd become a power seller and attempt to establish myself with ebay in a professional manner to open lines of communication so that a problem could be resolved before any action was taken by them. Good Luck ot all and Ebay does not SUCK!

canvid13, I'm glad to hear you have been reinstated. I feel bad for some of the comments you received here. You've done a good job of keeping your cool despite undeserved criticism. I've made only a cursory reading of this thread, which seems to include many personal attacks that were overlooked by the moderator, and probably like you, I can't tell why you were suspended, or reinstated for that matter. As for non-payment, I've got 30 late-pay notices to send out and about 40 deadbeats this last month. I think eBay does need to take action regarding non-paying bidders.

You're right Twinsoft. Ebay has to look at a few things. I recieved counterfiet goods and damaged goods totalling over $500.00.
Those people are still on ebay. My alleged NPB's were less than $100 and that was $100 out of almost 3-4K that I had spent in the same time frame.
Ebay has smuggly reinstated both of my accounts, but the fact is that neither account should've been suspeneded by Ebay's own rules!! I was lazy in not fighting or check properly the basis of the first accounts suspension. I focused on the hijinks associated with the second account.
What about all the auctions that were cancelled by ebay and the bids I had in? All those notices to bidders and sellers telling them that I was NARU'd??
I have sent them emails explaining all this and that if they don't fix this by Tuesday that I will be sending out a press release and taking them to court.
And you don't have to take them to a major court. Small claims will do. I just want some justice and the respect due given the facts.
I don't know about any of you, but I'm tired of a big corporation who's directors have sold millions in stock recently getting rich of my labors and then arrogantly destroying my business!!
