Hello red-deer, it is always a pleasure "seeing" you, dear. You always have good advice IMO.
Now, a question. If ebay has changed the terms for power-sellers so that they do not have to stand behind their merch and offer a guarantee, then what good is the term powerseller to the buyer? All it means is that the seller has sold a lot - it soes not mean that the seller is trustworthy and will guarantee his goods, am I right to assume this?
If I am right then I think the only thing power seller means is that the seller is making xxx amount of money (for ebay too) and is entitled to some extra attention. It means little or nothing to the buyer when he sees the power seller logo re: trust, honesty and being a good business person??
I am trying to understand this program. I had an invite once that I ignored and if I get another one, I want to know just what the program does to benefit buyers or to foster bidder confidence and I want to know what it does to benefit the sellers other than gives you a logo and a little more support.

Franny Thanks, also.
The majority of people here are very nice. We just cannot please everyone.

Hello Partner Nobs!
Yes, the PS logo means dick all in the BIG scheme of things. IMO It's used by many to lull new users into a false sense of security. I've never posted the logo on my auctions [too tacky IMO], but I did have it on my ME page, which I removed earlier this morning.
I think my feedback speaks for itself, and by the looks of things there are a number of people that find the logo to be a major turn off.
Not to mention the Private Dicks who consider every Power Seller to be a Power Shiller.

Hi Pocono, how are you doing? It's nice to see you posting!
Neil
Thank you so much for the info and the opinion (which I respect tremendously), it is like I thought. As you know, my concern lies with what is good for sellers and buyers. I want to see confident bidders bidding on good seller's merchandise and both sides being pleased!
