Gosh, I bet "most Americans" don't want it
I am curious as to why linda thinks the disabled shouldn't exercise their right to demonstrate....did they lose that right when they became disabled????

Linda takes a sick glee in the misfortune of others. She's made it known here for a long time that anyone with a disability should just shut up and be kicked to the curb if they can no longer work and don't have enough money socked away to live on until they die. Guess she figures they've lost their right to protest too.

Linda, so you're saying you are going to refuse Social Security Widows Benefits when you are of retirement age, or reduced benefit at age 60? Now why is it, I don't believe that? Did you also refuse the small lump sum benefit at the time of your husbands death?
It looks like I didn't have to overthrow the government, as you keep insisting I wanted to do. The neocons did a good job of overthrowing themselves.
Yes, I enjoyed protesting in the streets of San Francisco. Healthwise I'm not able to do it anymore, but I help in other ways. It seems we did a good job of getting out the vote, and our voices were heard. YOU LOST GET OVER IT!

You protested in 2000 and in 2004. IF you were well enough to do that...and more....and spend your whole day posting on all sorts of chat sites...then I personally believe there is most likely SOME job you could be doing, YES.
Rather than protesting against the country and state that has supported your radical rear end.
You're using the system that you want to overthrow.
And voting in any party is NOT overthrowing our government...and I think you KNOW that.
Again, you only come here to divert the discussion....to continue to take the thread OFF TOPIC....and want to make excuses for your radical behavior.
VOTING out those you don't want in office is the AMERICAN way....NOT overthrowning the government.....especially when it's been supporting you for YEARS and YEARS.

Any republicans OR Independents here that wonder if the dems taking control over both houses MIGHT just turn out to be a good thing?
I am, now. Think that's why although I am disappointed that there are so many ignorant voters...and they have made their voices heard....I'm thinking it might be a good thing for two reasons.
I still think that IF the dems don't show they can actually accomplish something/anything....that will hurt their chances in '08.
AND since most of the newly elected dems are conservatives/moderates rather than wacko liberals....maybe this coming session in congress will actually get some of our Nations business done???....because they're [the cons/mods from both parties] are more together on what they want to see accomplished. And if what happened with pelosi....her recent party telling her in essence to 'sit down and shut up - we'll vote for who and what we want to' - is a sign of their independence...from their ultra far left...then maybe some good will come out of this total change.
They will, after all, be held responsible to living up to their phoney promised accomplistments....and will be judged by those who put them in power now, to evaluate whether they did any better than they believe the republicans were doing.
So, I know only time will tell...but I'd be interested in hearing the thoughts from other republicans/independents....IF you're willing.

Yes, time will tell how well the Dems will do. If they're as bad as the repubs were, they'll be voted out too, and I'll be one of the people that does it.
OK we've covered a few subjects Linda, now do you want to discuss your war,and how well it's going?
Crowfarm, yes isn't it funny that the Americans that voted this time are the ignorant voters? I guess that 31% which includes Linda, (yanno those smart patriot Americans lol) just couldn't pull it off this time.

Linda don't tell me you're younger than 55 years old? Nothing will change for those over that age and close to retirement, even if there are changes to Social Security.
You would be stupid to collect on your own SS account, I'm sure your husband made more than you did. I'll bet I have more years of working than you have. I don't receive welfare or SSI, why shouldn't I take it after paying into it all my working years?
So, when the time comes you don't plan on refusing SS, is that what you're saying?

OK Linda back on topic! Bush is a lame duck president because he would like to get Social Security back on the table but he won't be able to because he's a lame duck president. Now, is that better?
You seem to think you know all about my life, it's only fair that you should just go ahead and admit you'll take the SS Retirement when the time comes. It's OK Linda your husband earned it, and that way you'll have more to leave to your kids, because if you have it your way they won't have SS benefits.

When I questioned you giving birth at about 10 I posted a which means I was being silly but I momentarily forgot you don't have a sense of humor.
Anyways, I remember you mentioned here that you gave birth to them in the 1960's and since it's almost 2007 now ...... even late 60's would make them nearing 40. That's how my math works anyways.
