Oh, no Helen, I wouldn't presume to encroach on your long standing partnership with linduh...please don't think I'm trying to butt into your territory...you have seniority...with the longest time spent together in threads and longest time together in the RT..... As far as I know, Mingo the option to ignore Linda was first discussed seriously yesterday.
A few weeks ago, Roadsmith started a thread with the suggestion but not many were interested at that time.

In reply to that, I stated that my butt was out of that "territory" for years ---- meaning that I no longer focus much attention on Linda's comments. You might say that she bores me. I've answered her arguments so many times that I could cut and paste previous answers from 2001 to cover nearly everything that she has to say today. And then I could predict with a high degree of accuracy what she will say in reply.
An effort on my part to avoid such a dull, tedious and unpleasant encounter should not be construed to mean that I ignore everything that she writes. My avoidance is not failing to pay attention but rather an effort to engage in discussions more interesting with people more pleasurable to deal with. I have avoided her here and before she was suspended from OTWA, I avoided her there.
I don't ignore anyone and in fact have questioned the practice and compared it to driving down the interstate with blinders on. I responded to Roadsmiths request by telling her that ignoring linda would not work because there will always be someone who will not go along with an organized effort to ignore her comments. You provide sufficient evidence of that.

For example, in your case there were a good number of people at OTWA and several discussions focused on your excessive focus on linda and the fact that such constant and undivided attention provided an always ready platform against which she could rale and rant. Here there has been a similar suggestion although not so vocal as it was there. In any case it's not just my opinion...it's many opinions and what should be significant to you, even from people who are otherwise favorable to you and your opinions.
You have become like her in the way that you respond. Take a look at the wild and unreadable format of your posts. In the most recent one in this thread you have me quoted as saying what in fact you had stated. You have even adopted the copious number of LOL and smiley faces used not as they were intended but as an attempt to ridicule.
You have become like her in the manner that you respond with insults....personal insults to me such as you have in this thread. You will call me a drunk or a drug addicted moron or fat or old or clueless or some such silly and baseless nonsense. I even doubt that it's beyond your scruples to attack my children as you have attacked linda's children.
So, it will be interesting to see if you come back with those insults and wrong maneuvers or if you take the better path and reinvent yourself once again. Good luck to you!
