Mingo, "winger" refers to the right-wing group which in this thread includes Linda, Classic, Piinthesky etc. They have all gleefully jumped on your, "I've been attacked" bandwagon.

Such acceptance by the wingers would curl my toes.

Uh, Helen, there are right-wingers and left-wingers.....the radical right does not have a patent on the term.
Again, Helen, we disagree...I don't see it as acceptance by the "right"...I see it as you being wrong and even the right"wingers" can see that.

I've never seen either Helen or Mingo kissing butt wanting to be liked. It's not their style ......... unlike someone else here who goes into full slurp mode at a mere nod of approval Must say the edits with the added smileys and bolding are hilarious.

Bebe, I've often wondered what is the purpose of "Chat" when the board is there where you may discuss most anything?

Helen, I think DrArcane said it best when he likened it to a party-line telephone call. It is pure nonsense and usually lots of fun..fast paced conversation..nothing serious.. no thought out responses, sometimes serious subjects and rants uncensored.. please join us sometime.
Drarcane has a new chat forum on his board.
Classic.. Doc has a new chat forum..people were wondering where Norm was.

ginger-I wasnt aware doc had a new forum.Every time I checked out Heps chat,there was never anyone there,I got tired of talking to myself...my wife was begining to wonder about me.
Its close to 70 here

Yes, I know the difference between public and private. However, I've seen many cases in which the perceived privacy of "chat" has been violated. Not too long ago, the transcript of one "private" chat was copy/pasted to several public boards. So, take care.

I have an aversion to cliques or "chats" as we are discussing here. It seems especially inappropriate and ill mannered to request on a public board that someone meet you in "chat". Seems to me that if you can't invite the entire group that you should keep your little hide-a-way gossip hole out of the conversation.
I would never join such a group.

Classic, I should keep in mind that you have difficulty holding two opposing ideas in mind at the same time.
If you invited me to have a drink of Jim Beam with you, I might appreciate the invitation as thoughtful and sincere, but I would not join you for a drink because I don't drink Jim Beam or any other alcoholic beverage...
