It's called hijacking. It's like spoiled children whose parents are having a discussion and the children can't stand the lack of attention, so, having nothing intelligent to add to the converstion, and not enough iniative to start their own conversation, they start prattling on and on about rather trivial things.

Oh, not that I don't think photos of ice and snow aren't fascinating...hardly ever get to see that this winter, or discussions of water freezing..or not, aren't riveting but maybe some children could actually throw aside their tremendous feelings of inferiority and start their own thread for a change

Now please , please, please...more photos of brown birds and cardboard boxes !!!

It's so refreshing to know that someone here has a good sense of humor!

Mingo, you shouldn't feel so badly when a thread goes off topic...especially when you made no effort to contribute to the topic other than to copy paste an article. Throughout this thread there were only two responses to the topic including one from Roadsmith and my response to her comment. Nowhere is there an "on topic" comment by you. You cut and pasted a news article and then proceeded to comment on the posters rather than the topic.

Neither should you be under the delusion that what you write here is somehow distinguished by a superior intelligence. That suggestion is in your and Linda's vernacular LOL funny. You appear to excel in copy paste and sometimes select good articles from The Nation that I enjoy reading. Other than that, your one liner comments are not as profound as you obviously think.

And remember, the fact that you may start a thread here does not impower you with "ownership" of the discussion that may ensue. You are just a member here and not nearly as vital and superior as you obviously think you are. In fact, it's my opinion that your unrelenting obsession with Linda has only caused disruption.

AND you know how I FEEL, too! SO like linduh !!!!

Maybe some day we'll see YOU start a topic...but I doubt it because you seem to be very shy about that for some reason (total lack of self-confidence, lack of originality, lack of interest(besides ice freezing, or not, ) ????

....meanwhile you can slither around on your belly sucking off others post and disrupting the topics of those you don't like....or can't keep up with..

And how ARE those pelicans ?

LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!

Gee, do you mean that if I had the overwhelming confidence, creative originality and consuming, 24/7 interest in this chatboard that you and linda possess, I too could copy paste an article and then have the daring courage that you have to press..."post topic"?

What an exciting idea!

Mingo, you are a flaming dingbat.

sybil is now beginning to recognize her OWN behavior/actions in this forum. That's a good thing.

But STILL can't see it about herself....but at least she is beginning to see the behavior SHE so often [read - most of the time] demonstrates here.

I knew that you would want to see another one!

Families strolling through a London park were left shocked when a pelican picked up and swallowed an unsuspecting pigeon.
The pigeon was still alive when it reached the pelican's stomach.

A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His mouth can hold more than his belly can,
He can hold in his beak,
Enough food for a week!
I'm damned if I know how the hell he can!

At least stoney didn't add to the brain cell count by including his name. The total count would not have changed if his name was added.

Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

If the answers you get do not suit you, or if they frighten you, or if they anger you, it is your duty as a patriot to dissent. Freedom does not begin with blind acceptance and with a flag. Freedom begins when you say 'No.'

Good one, Longansdad!

Mingo She is your love ...a love that is your only reason to be as far as I can see.

How can anyone stand in the way of a love like that?

Enjoy it.
