Linda_K, sometimes there is more to be learned when someone takes a topic off course. There are no set rules here and each person is different.
Perhaps if you took time to read some of Roadsmith's comments or the articles she has posted here or things that others say and then quietly reflect on them instead of nit-picking over every observation or perception that is stated but you disagree with, you would gain more at the end of your day.
It's not that you have to agree with anyone or everyone but it may help you to understand that others are individuals with their own free thoughts and aren't always as wrong as you make them out to be.

Linda_K I don't see from my statement how you thought I could possibly be comparing myself to Roadsmith. I can only hope to be as level-headed and to gain some of Roadsmith's wisdom in future years. It does say lots about your reading comprehension though.

Did her observations strike that deep to the core that you're going to stay up all night complaining about it? Continuing the saga.....
even before I started posting here I noticed that every time a poster named lindK got the worst of an argument she kinda disappeared and soon another poster, twelvepole , appeared with ugly quartermass type insults. When twelve disappeared linda appeared...they started posting closer together when I mentioned that little situation.
Then, after a certain incident, old Twelvesy disappeared for good.
Now "quartermess" is here...cheap shots and helping out "linda".

Kiara: Thanks for the kind words! Most of the time, here and at the EO, I fear I'm going to come across as something other than what I am deep inside.
What bothers me most about these threads is the kindergarten namecalling that goes on, and the hijacking of threads so that they deteriorate into little-kid stuff.
And. . . the limited vocabulary of some on the Round Table--on both sides!--who resort to ugly words because they have nothing else in their repertoire.
It does NO good for us to fight Linda and some of the other childish namecallers with their own tactics. The high road, I think, is the best way, even if it means ignoring an inflammatory statement.
