Linda_K, you act as if anyone else that reads here may be swayed by opinions that differ from yours. Obviously it's threatening to you because you constantly make assumptions and show your intolerance for all by attacking them personally, calling them idiots, fools, hypocrites, liars, ignorant, stupid, confused, uninformed, etc nonstop from one day to the next each time they offer up a different viewpoint.

After all is said and done, you become the victim in your own mind at the end of each day so what does that say about you? Hmmm........?

helen, thanks for posting a curriculum vitae on Juan Cole. I'd wondered about his expertise after reading previous copies of his you've posted here. Now off to read more...

You are very welcome, Profe. Good to know that it was appreciated by someone.

I forgot to mention that in 2004 the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations requested Cole's testimony at hearings to better understand the situation in Iraq.

Also from his site...

Juan Cole is president and treasurer of the Global Americana Institute, a group of academics specializing in the Middle East who are working to translate the seminal works of American democracy into various Middle Eastern languages.

The group's web site states that the "project will begin with a selected set of passages and essays by Thomas Jefferson on constitutional and governmental issues such as freedom of religion, the separation of powers, inalienable rights, the sovereignty of the people, and so forth."

Sorry, I wasn't ignoring you Helen...... whenever I talk to you it seems to bring out the very worst in Linda and when added to her usual day of insults it sometimes gets to be an overload. Actually the last time I remember reading Juan Cole was from your link where he showed how the US enabled Saddam throughout the years and I hadn't realized their relationship had gone back that far.

No problem, Kiara. I understand the situation very well. Linda wants to diminish your good thoughts by inferring or saying outright that you are just my tag-along. When she manages to bother you again with this silly message just tell her that I am "your" mini-me. I really don't give a dam.

Your acknowledgement however that you avoid "talking to me because it will bring out the worst in Linda resulting in an "overload" will be perceived by Linda as a feather in her cap. The truth is that anything that you say to her...any acknowledgement whatever, whether positive or negative will contribute just as significantly to that "overload".

...an overload of batshit insanity.

LOL

I'm fully aware, hellen, that there are many like you and kiara who fully support bloggers like juan cole....

To me he's nothing more than an American policy BASHER and he's also anti-semitic.

But you have supported the Palestinians over Israel....so your respect for old cole comes as no surprise to me.

And it's comical to read your statements to kiara.....she's always been your mini-me. And by following in your footsteps by posting ANOTHER juan cole statement....she proves it.

Don't need any feathers in my cap. I don't wear caps.

I just point out the other side ....you know...the AMERICAN side.

And here again, we see just who also agrees with the position of the MAD MAN of Iran - besides juan cole, helen and kiara that is.

I prefer to be on the American side.

Ahmadinejad vilifies US and Israel

By ASSOCIATED PRESS
KHARTOUM, Sudan
Talkbacks for this article: 12

Iran's president blamed the United States and Israel for the world's problems Thursday in a lecture to Sudanese officials and intellectuals during his visit to Sudan.

President Ahmadinejad's comments came as Iran and Sudan face mounting international criticism, Iran over its nuclear activities and Sudan over the conflict in Darfur.

Israel not 'threatened' by US-Iran talks

In his lecture titled "Iran and the world," Ahmadinejad reiterated arguments that he has made repeatedly throughout the standoff with the United States and its Western allies over Iran's nuclear activities.

He urged Muslims to rally behind Iran and accused detractors of Iran's nuclear program of trying to prevent a developing country from making scientific advances.

"There is no place in the world that suffers from divisions and wars unless America or the Zionists' fingerprints are seen there," Ahmadinejad told his audience in Farsi translated into Arabic.

"Our strength and the cornerstone of the victory is in our (Muslims') unity ... we have to pay attention to the devils who want to cause divisions among us," the Iranian president said.

"They want to keep science in their hands only ... they don't want the rest of the world to progress," he said referring Iran's nuclear program.

Ahmadinejad arrived in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital, Wednesday in a show of solidarity with Sudan. Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir declared support for Iran's nuclear ambitions while the Ahmadinejad said Iran viewed Sudan's progress as important as its own.

Sudanese state SUNA news agency said the visit would promote "cooperation in defense relations, the exchange of expertise and scientific and technological capabilities."

tsk tsk tsk

Just for the record, I've never discussed or voiced any opinion on Iran's leader or Israel and if you had any integrity you would have links to back up your claims, Linda_k.

If nothing else I find you amusing because you fear others seeking the truth and reading beyond your daily propaganda. To overcome your helplessness and fear about the outcome of your own convictions you lie, call names and use others but always expose your own weakness in doing so. Mix that with a big shot of jealousy and it's even more amusing to see you become so powerless.

No need to start making it personal again, kiara.

As you do so very well.

You obviously posted a piece from juan cole.

Are you saying you DIDN'T agree with what he said?

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

I'm sure others would just LOVE to hear you deny THAT.

And hellen also supports juan coles ME articles....sees things his way.

So now that the MAD MAN of Iran proves he does too.

...you have GREAT company for your positions.

Just because they happen to usually be anti-American policy and anti-Israel....doesn't change a thing, kiara.

You love riding the fence....but you will NEVER convince ME that when you follow in hellens footsteps and start posting articles from BLOGGER juan cole...that you are saying your DON'T agree with them.

I'm sure you post articles all the time of those you don't agree with....just to stimulate conversation here. NOT>

You are trapped by your propaganda and the outcome of it as it crumbles about you daily while I continue to freely seek the truth, Linda_k.

I haven't allowed myself to become boxed in as you have and now your fear is showing because you've put yourself in a position you're having trouble digging yourself out of as your leader gets weaker. You have no links for any of your lies about my beliefs and you never will. That's why I view you as a powerless little coward puffing and huffing in frustration.

Then, of course, for those gullible enough to be just SOOOoooo impressed with juan coles credentials....lol....lol...lol

might want to read some of his statements.

He's NOT a very nice guy. REALLY has a HUGE problem with Jewish people and Israel. lol [To say the LEAST]

THIS COMING FROM THE PERSON THAT SUPPORTS AND BOWS DOWN TO EVERY WORD ANN COULTER HAS TO SAY. LINDA YOU ARE THE BIGGEST HYPOCRITE HERE.

Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

The duty of a patriot in this time and place is to ask questions, to demand answers, to understand where our nation is headed and why. If the answers you get do not suit you, or if they frighten you, or if they anger you, it is your duty as a patriot to dissent. Freedom does not begin with blind acceptance and with a flag. Freedom begins when you say 'No.'

Yep.....just as I said.

kiara expects all here to be stupid enough to believe she posts articles that express views she DOESN'T agree with.

Who's the coward kiara? You are. You can't even defend your own positions.

This is often your MO when asked about what you do and don't support. You often sit on the fence..and won't be BRAVE enough to admit your positions.

But it's CLEAR you NEVER post ANY pro-American policy websites....blogs ...etc.

You sure aren't fooling me.

All I did was post a viewpoint of someone who has studied the war and the Middle East and what he thought about the Brits leaving Iraq.

Never having been to Iraq how could I possibly know the true situation so I could agree with him? Time will tell if he is correct or not and I am open-minded enough to know that.

Linda, for a simple posting to cause you such continued angst it looks as if you are afraid his words may be the truth.

So I'm supposed to agree with Juan Cole just because I posted his view?

Wow, good thing I don't agree with and follow what Ann Coulter does like you do Linda, she's a self-proclaimed slut.
