Fur flies between PETA and Karl Rove

PETA has Karl Rove in its crosshairs.
The animal-rights group — which usually goes after fur-wearing celebs such as Nicole Richie and Ashley Olsen — has set its sights on President Bush's top aide.
Rove provoked the group's ire with a rap routine he performed at the Washington Radio and TV Correspondents' dinner.
"Listen up suckas, don't get the jitters," Rove rapped, "but MC Rove tears the heads off of critters." And when asked if he has any hobbies, Rove said he enjoys "ripping the tops off of animals" and demonstrated with his hands.
"We saw your bizarre routine. . . and our first thought was, 'Don't give up your day job,'" PETA president Ingrid Newkirk wrote in a letter to Rove at the White House. "On second thought, we do wish you'd give up your day job. . . . You have a severe compassion deficit and, sadly, you have the president's ear, and the last thing this country needs is someone whispering something violent into it."
Wasn't Rove just joking, asked The Scoop? "He hunts DOVES!" fired back Newkirk. "They're four-ounce symbols of PEACE."

MY point was to show an organization like PETA whining about what others do....should really clean up their OWN killing of animals before they worry about something said in a JOKE.

I made no comments of my own with the C&P from MSNBC that I posted about PETA.
Sounds like Linda_K is getting much more worked up about PETA than anyone else here just because I posted the silly little C&P.

I posted the article because I thought it was amusing what PETA said about Rove and doves. No other motives at all and I haven't denied posting it and even put the link to the source.
Why is it that you expect us all to be as sneaky and low-down as you are, Linda_K?
You're just pissed because the men you worship are all weak leaders....... couldn't take control during 9/11, couldn't take control during Katrina, couldn't run a war, couldn't take control over caring for the wounded vets and they aren't even real men when it comes to hunting.

And as far as posting articles, how can I possibly agree lock, stock and barrel with what someone else writes or believes. It's usually an analysis or viewpoint from someone else to reflect on whether I or anyone else agrees or not or it's a news report of the day from anywhere in the world.
Please remember that each one of us in an individual with different views on one topic and perhaps the same on another. We aren't the 'one way, one mind-thought' as you are because our minds are much more expanded and developed than yours seems to be.

It was a silly little article about PETA and Rove........ what was there to agree with or disagree with? I read it and I smiled. End of story.

Wouldn't surprise me if the liberals teaching they get in MOST colleges/universities condones this type of behavior.

The article says the Rove was at American University.
The article says Rove was met by protesters.
The article did not mention it was the college students who were throwing things at Rove's car.
Just another typical response from Linda who can no read what is presented in an article. At least this time she did not quoting something from the article that wasn't there to begin with.
