Shosh, you do not have to have a Credit Card to use BIN,the function requires NO instant payment, it just ends the Auction at that point.

Frankly, I haven't seen eBay's published dictionary yet...However, in Perusing the Merriam-Webster's and the Oxford American, they basically define it the same way. And I do not think eBay even defines it, they just assume that the bidder is literate and knows the true definitions of the words.

Doc,

It is my understanding that a buyer must be registered with a credit card at Ebay in order to use BIN, although you do not have to purchase the item via credit card.

Hi:
Your better off takeing the BIN and waiting! You know your getting top dollar for something you yourshelf said no one was knocking doors down to bid on!You could have sold it to the min. bidder and still waited for less money! Buyer just wanted to make sure they got the Merch. Be happy you sold it!!!

I don't care when a buyer [BIN or non BIN] sends payment, as long as I receive it within 30 days, I don't make a stink.

Dadofsickboy, reddeer-
It has now been 23 days, since the buyer used BIN. I'm still waiting for payment. In the meantime, I've sold a second one of this item, for more than the BIN price, on ebay. I've filed for NPB and I'm relisting.

Kidsfeet, I think that was true in the beginning (first week or so), but I have used BIN since, and have NO Credit Card registered with anyone. Maybe I was "grandfathered" or something, but I don't think so.

I think if a seller is so worried that they are not going to receive payment then they should put a definite time limit in their TOS in the auction

This lets the bidder know that they are transacting with a seller that wants payment in X amount of days.

If a seller doesn't have a time limit, they shouldn't gripe over what they perceive to be a slow payment.

We forget not everyone lives on the computer, not everyone has the pay-it-now attitude.

I know people that check their e mail every 2 weeks. I know people that travel. At least if your terms are there and they aren't followed, then you have a reason to gripe.

~Not barrelracer on ebay, don't pick on them!~

rca001 ..... Considering the high bidder is now NARU, I don't blame you, and would have done the same. [relisted]

Now I wish I'd taken bets on the outcome of this one. The whole deal smelled bad from the get-go.
