Well, Linda, you better tell President Bush that you know the TRUTH, because Bush said, "We have not found stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction"

"Iraq did not have the weapons that our intelligence believed were there."

<HUGE eyeroll here>

He doesn't need to be told, CC.

He believed our troops when they found the womd in Iraq.
UNLIKE you

And he knows they weren't what we were expecting to find pre-war.

What does that make me, CC?? The provider of TRUTH....

No it makes you some delusional crack-pot that has been brainwashed or someone that only sees and believes what she wants to believe. So much for that open mind you claim to have.

when the liberals here LIE by posting falsehoods that womd was NEVER found....."not one drop".

The WMD that were found in Iraq were not the WMD that Bush and Company claimed were there. Do you understand that. The White House, the CIA and the rest of the intelligence community have stated this and it is accepted as the truth.

Why is it only you that can not accept it?

Are you going to dispute the FACTS that have been released by the government?

Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

Freedom begins when you say 'No.'

CC - There's NO NEED to start SWEARING. tsk tsk tsk

This IS, after all, ONLY a chat board.

I wasn't "arguing". I was CORRECTING helen's FALSE op-ed that NOT A DROP OF WOMD had been found in Iraq.

What part of that TRUTH can't you grasp????

I'm not cursing, Linda. If I wanted to curse, I would not have said BFD.

What part of that TRUTH can't you grasp????

The part that is NOT true. No weapons that are capable of destroying massive amounts of people was found.

So why are you making such a BFD arguing in a 4 page thread?

Coincoach, Linda_K is arguing because she bought into the belief that taking over Iraq wouldn't be too much of a problem and as things disintegrated so did her mind.

CC....I'm no longer interested in playing these games with you.

WOMD WERE found....by our troops in Iraq. THAT IS A FACT.

I provided you with a site from our very own defense agencies...and you still refused to BELIEVE it.

Obviously the inspectors that liberals SO BEIEVED IN never found those womd in 13 YEARS, hadn't found them.

As clinton told us, saddam was good a fooling the UN inspectors.....playing his own games with them.

I could care LESS whether you liberals here accept those FACTS or not. Won't change the FACTS. PERIOD.

You [collectively] said NO womd were found ....I proved you WRONG, once again.

Grow up and accept the TRUTH - the FACTS for once.

It's certainly NO surprise to ME that so many of you are uninformed....OR don't believe our troops/military.

That's your problem....and I certainly don't see that as "supporting our troops" like the liberals ONLY give lip service to doing.

Liar_k,
I am glad you finally admitted you lost this discussion and that your lies ain't working any longer.

ITS ABOUT TIME OLD WOMAN YOU STOPPED MAKING A DAM FOOL OF YOURSELF.

Before the 2008 election we will have you and others of your kind voting for the Democrats. With help from your kind we will sweep out the republicans that are blocking the end of the Iraq war and a safer America.

No 'waco', even though you too appear to not believe what our soldiers on the ground found....that is YOUR problem....not mine.

Just goes to show how totally out of touch with reality you liberals here are.

And it's taken FOUR pages of garbage for you to show just how UNINFORMED so many on the left really are.

AS I've stated over and over again....that's why they VOTE the way they do. Because they can't GRASP the FACTS....the TRUTH of most ANY situtation.

I asked this question on page ONE.....and NOT ONE liberal here responded.

quote:

Read the military sites like I've suggested over and over again to those of you who can't comprehend the written word, and you will READ the statements from our military on what they've found.

I'll believe their statements over ANY liberal ignorant blogger helen uses to rehash your 'they lied' distortions.
And try and explain just why the anti-war liberals argued that the womd THAT WAS FOUND....had deteriorated IF NONE were ever found.

LOL LOL LOL

They argued it wasn't STILL a threat....while others very much disagreed.
Guess they were arguing their position on that for NO REASON....since according to the uninformed libs...there were NONE.
end quote/

AND still the liberals here just couldn't 'get' it.

LOL LOL LOL

That's what they call DENSE.

LIAR_K,
Take a break and then look at your last post. After you reread your last post do you still have the nerve to call anyone here anything???

WACO fits you better than anyone here after your last post.

I sure do...SCREAMING 'WACO'.

I sure do.

When people are DENSE....there's just NO getting around that.

When liberals REFUSE to believe what our troops tell us they found, what our military REPORTS they found.....then there is NO HOPE for them believing ANYTHING.

You all like to make up whatever you want.

You'll believe some nutcase on a blog who LIES.....but believe our military/soldiers.....not a chance.

Imo, the five of you are the MOST uninformed liberals I've EVER come across anywhere.

ANYWHERE.

dense...very dense

I guess that includes the president then, as he has accepted the report that there are no WMD. It would appear that WMD that are 20 years old, degraded and unusable are NOT considered WMD, are they? Ice cubes that have melted are no longer ice cubes--they are called water.

Nothing more.

Munitions Found in Iraq Meet WMD Criteria, Official Says

By Samantha L. Quigley
American Forces Press Service
WASHINGTON, June 29, 2006 –

The 500 munitions discovered throughout Iraq since 2003 and discussed in a National Ground Intelligence Center report meet the criteria of weapons of mass destruction, the center's commander said here today.

"These are chemical weapons as defined under the Chemical Weapons Convention, and yes ... they do constitute weapons of mass destruction," Army Col. John Chu told the House Armed Services Committee.

The Chemical Weapons Convention is an arms control agreement which outlaws the production, stockpiling and use of chemical weapons. It was signed in 1993 and entered into force in 1997.

The munitions found contain sarin and mustard gases, Army Lt. Gen. Michael D. Maples, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, said. Sarin attacks the neurological system and is potentially lethal.

"Mustard is a blister agent (that) actually produces burning of any area (where) an individual may come in contact with the agent," he said. It also is potentially fatal if it gets into a person's lungs.

The munitions addressed in the report were produced in the 1980s, Maples said. Badly corroded, they could not currently be used as originally intended, Chu added.

While that's reassuring, the agent remaining in the weapons would be very valuable to terrorists and insurgents, Maples said.

"We're talking chemical agents here that could be packaged in a different format and have a great effect," he said, referencing the sarin-gas attack on a Japanese subway in the mid-1990s.

This is true even considering any degradation of the chemical agents that may have occurred, Chu said. It's not known exactly how sarin breaks down, but no matter how degraded the agent is, it's still toxic.

"Regardless of (how much material in the weapon is actually chemical agent), any remaining agent is toxic," he said. "Anything above zero (percent agent) would prove to be toxic, and if you were exposed to it long enough, lethal."

Though about 500 chemical weapons - the exact number has not been released publicly - have been found, Maples said he doesn't believe Iraq is a "WMD-free zone."

"I do believe the former regime did a very poor job of accountability of munitions, and certainly did not document the destruction of munitions," he said. "The recovery program goes on, and I do not believe we have found all the weapons."

The Defense Intelligence Agency director said locating and disposing of chemical weapons in Iraq is one of the most important tasks servicemembers in the country perform.

Maples added searches are ongoing for chemical weapons beyond those being conducted solely for force protection.
There has been a call for a complete declassification of the National Ground Intelligence Center's report on WMD in Iraq. Maples said he believes the director of national intelligence is still considering this option, and has asked Maples to look into producing an unclassified paper addressing the subject matter in the center's report.

Much of the classified matter was slated for discussion in a closed forum after the open hearings this morning.

More of your little semantics Linda. These were not the WMD taht Bushed claimed were there in order to hustify his reasoning for going to war. It is a pitty that is only you that want to believe otherwise.

CC:I guess that includes the president then, as he has accepted the report that there are no WMD. It would appear that WMD that are 20 years old, degraded and unusable are NOT considered WMD, are they?

Exactly. We are all wrong but yet we have been saying the same thing as the White House and the CIA, but yet Linda has yet to explain how we can be wrong, but not Bush and the CIA. It makes no sense, but then again neither does Linda.

To find those old, badly corroded weapons the lives of 3,363 American soldiers were lost and more than 26,000 were severely injured and billions of dollars were squandered, creating a civil war and a humanitarian disaster in Iraq and making it a breeding ground for terrorists when it had previously been one of the most developed countries in the Middle East.

Was it worth it?

From linda's viewpoint, troops are expendable. She will attempt to justify her lack of concern about the number of dead by suggesting that they volunteered to be killed. With such a cold, callous and insensitive attitude toward the needless death and dismemberment of American soldiers, she feels that she is suporting the troops.

America is not the bad guy.

Bush and all his equally incompetent buddies are the bad guys.

Bush is not 'America', the people of America make America what it is. But unfortunately America has to pay for Bush's thoughtless and ruthless actions.

Here is a list of refugees from Iraq that came to America from 2000-2004 and the states they came to.

I see one came to Arkansas. I think Linda_k should look under her bed.
