They don't need to make law after law after law to LIMIT or forbid speech THEY don't like - speech THEY find offensive, especially when it's NOT calling for any violence towards others.

I know how much you hate the idea of two gay people getting married because you find it offensive. However you do not need to create laws after laws limiting an act that you find offensive especially when there is no violence involved.

Why because they want to censor free speech. The same free speech that Linda is trying to defend. The same one that is protected in the Constitution. FIRST of all, you are WRONG. At the point they founded and became our presidents SLAVERY was accepted AND allowed...and LEGAL. So don't go down the 'supposed' history road. It just didn't happen that way.

Churches don't have to allow the gay agenda to be spoken in their churches NOR can, unless this 'special' law is passed can they REGULATE what the church, any church, says about how their religion sees homosexuality/transgenders....nor any of those who are gender confused.
But this is what this 'special' law would allow.
I'd go to jail for saying I don't agree with the gay lifestyle. THAT is MY PRO-American, constitutional protect RIGHT to say how I feel. With no threat from the gov. [ie laws] that limit my speech.
I know you and others here have GREAT trouble grasping that. But it is NOT pro-American to limit the speech of other Americans for no reason that SOME others don't like what they're say.

I understood Zoomin's comment, perfectly.
Yours however had the implication that since the Constitution was drawn up when slavery was still accepted in the South that therefore, discrimination was never an issue for the founders. That's just not true. The ammendments before and after the Civil War address the kind of equality and fairness that you would like to ignore.
