Funny how everyone 'see's what actually happens in such DIFFERENT ways. LOL

She called to attack Ann, and Ann responded....

mrs. edwards need to clean up her OWN MOUTH before she tells others to stop saying what they want to. LOL

http://www.breitbart.tv/html/2220.html

Ann was 'right on'.....the edwards use Ann to make MORE money for his campaign.

Just as the liberals falsely accuse Ann of calling her mr. a "f". lol It's on video also....where all who are so hatefilled can actually listen to Ann's words. She did NOT call the mrs., mr. a 'faxxxx'.

I have to disagree, Coincoach.

I think anniefannie is absolutely great for turning people off the repug agenda.

Any DECENT,SANE, LOGICAL THINKING human being could see who won that "discussion".

annie represented Republicans accurately

It's really great PR for them..... NOT...LOL!!!!!But she's even better for the Democrats!! HAHA!!!

I agree with Shag !!!

Funny, SOME say there were liberals whining....I haven't seen any whining in this thread except for the neocons ...

""the edwards use Ann to make MORE money for his campaign. ""

Finally! Ya got something right ! It's working, too!! And all I got to say is HAHAHAHLOLOLOHA

That's because you're blind.

It's obviously mrs edwards who was whining....and all of you liberals rush in to tell us why she should have the right to tell Ann to not say ANYTHING.

Freedom of speech and all.

LOL LOL LOL

And of course, when lefties called out for cheneys death...etc...etc. not a bit of outrage about that 'hate speech'.

Nope....only upsets the radicals when the truth is aimed at their side.

Mingo--I understand your point, though I hate giving Coulter any attention. I believe she turns off any but the most rabid of neocons. No one, with just the littlest bit of class, would take her seriously. Anyone who is sitting on the fence, would immediately run left after listening to her.You say we are blind, but

Linda--BS to you. Anyone who makes fun of a child's accidental death is indefensible. How you can say Mrs. Edwards did the attacking is beyond me. She was criticizing, but in a polite, non-aggressive way. Annie was so rabid, she was practically foaming at the mouth. You say we are blind, but you, apparently, are deaf.

yea, yea yea, CC.

I'll remind you that it was edwards that used their sons death in the '04 elections.

If THEY bring it into the public domain for their political benefit...then it's fair game.

Obviously Ann is doing a great job....since you're all just so upset about your 'victim' playing the role of 'victim' so very well.

linduh, You won't get this because you're totally uneducated, classless, amoral, and stupid BUT "fair game doesn't have to mean taking it to the lowest denominator...which annie does...much to the benefit of the Democrats

""Obviously Ann is doing a great job"""

Yup, she's brining in more money and votes for the Democrats

linduh, you're projecting your tizzy onto others....any NORMAL person would see that the liberals in here have been discussing this quite well and calmly.....seems it's you and annie who have lost your "cool"....seems you and bear are trying to make annie the poor little oppressed victim....

Linda-That's your opinion, and it is wrong IMO. Don't know about anyone else, but I only have contempt for Coulter. I am not outraged---would not waste that energy on her. Don't care if she gives an interview everyday. She can drive more and more Republicans away from the party. She is a publicity-seeking, book selling incorrigible child who craves attention. And, unnecessarily cruel to boot.

There are millions who buy Ann's books and agree with most of what she says about liberals. lol

She's made a great career for herself pointing out the hypocritical left. lol

And she thrives on controversy. Which the left gives her everytime she makes a statement that gets the liberals whining again. lol

Ann took it quite well....being that she wasn't expecting the mrs to call up and attack her....unsuspectingly. LOL

She LAUGHED at her....laughed at what she was whining about.

The VICTIM....playing the 'role' so well. lol

This makes THREE times the edwards have emailed their supporters asking for donations to his campaign because of something Ann said. LOL LOL

Don't fool yourself.....they're LOVING Ann.

It's notable that she didn't attempt to defend her ugly talk, but rather tried a typical dodge, referring to Edwards' speaking fees, which had nothing to do with the topic of Mrs. Edwards' call. This is a favored tactic on this board, as we're all well aware. Understandable here, but pretty damn lame from somebody who claims authority and who is read by millions.

It has EVERYTHING to do with the way edwards made his fortune. lol

And according to their neighbors.....they think they're better than those they pretend to want to represent IF he wins the WH.

Which, imo, he has NO chance of ever doing.

Ann has AGAIN done well. Sure got them all upset. Truth hurts...and as usual the left want to SILENCE everyone they don't agree with.

Not yet - liberals haven't passed their 'hate speech' laws YET....Americans are STILL free to enjoy their 'free speech' rights.

No dodge. You're seeing things profe.

Ann didn't 'dodge' anything. She said she would NOT silence herself because some 'victim' wants to play the 'victim' role once again.

She laughed at her .....

Funny how hypocritical the liberals here are.....it's okay when their leaders do the same....but we should HANG Ann for speaking the truth about the edwards.

Can't have that....not in the liberal world. They have all those 'double standards' to uphold.

Too bad.

From the AP 'comment' thread about matthews asking edwards why he had his wife speak for HIM. lol

This poster hit the nail on the head, imo.

Clearly showing that the edwards both started this 'war' with Ann. And the waning chris matthews show was seeking more viewers too....because of their poor ratings.

It's all in the 'game'. lol

fight_truth_decay June 28th, 2007 - 10:37 am

Was Mrs. Edwards just impromptu with her call to HardBall?

I personally think not, as on the John Edwards Blog ‘08 days before (June 21,’07)it reads:

“Next Tuesday Ann Coulter will be Chris Mathew’s guest on MSNBC’s Hardball. I urge of all you boycott Hardball on next Tuesday. You can also share your comments with the show’s producers at the following link…”

Irate Edwards’ followers fire off letters to MSNBC, saying they will not watch the show if Coulter is allowed to appear, saying Matthews will probably join the FOX camp soon:
http://blog.johnedwards.com/story/2007/6/21/18374/9893

Mrs. Edwards, of course, reads her husband’s blog. Premeditated?

Did Matthews and his “people” set it up in some way after receipt of e-mails from the Ewards’ blog calling for the boycott of HardBall when Coulter was to be a guest?

And with ratings so low, Matthews could not take the chance to loose the only audience which has contined to stand by their man each and every day no matter how small an audience that has come to be. I would bet a call was made to the Edwards, and the Mrs was down and ready for some hair-pulling!

Mrs. Edwards, however, not doing her homework; clumsily misquoted the full scope of comments made by Coulter which had originated from Bill Maher and mocked by Ann. Mrs. Edwards was no match for Coulter intellectually.

Mrs. Edwards had also, as you might remember, attacked the Cheney’s, in an attempt to suggest their daughter was an embarrassment to them, when the Kerry spoke of the sexual orientation of Cheney’s daughter which had “nothing to do with anything”. Mrs. Cheney spoke out saying as much, with Mrs. Edwards dropping the “shame-bomb”. Again, Mrs. Edwards is not a match for Mrs. Cheney intellectually.

When asked in the aforementioned video:

Matthews to Edwards (only appearing after being called a coward for sending his wife to combat with Coutler): “Should people buy Ann Coulter’s books?”

Edwards: “No!”

Summary: Edwards Blog is the home front for staging boycotts of a show, where in this case, Coulter is appearing. Edwards, with “serious face on” looks out into TV land and tells us what we should and should not read.

These Liberals would love to see a re-birth of the Fairness Doctrine, as an attempt to control or “fix legistatively” (Hillary/Boxer) talk radio, an endeavor they have failed at miserably in the past — AirAmerica’s bankruptcy, “Rather-Biased” practically destroying an old media network single handedly with forged memos, Couric’s once $8,000,000 face has practically disappeared, and HardBall so far down in ratings from FoxNews it sounds like an echo when one shouts down a deep well. Even Microsoft once spoke of pulling the “M” out.

Edwards whines personal attacks are coming from the Right and never from the Left. How pathetic…”sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me”..didn’t your mother ever teach you that, Johnny? Grow up.

from the Hill.com yesterday, and in part.

Funny how the edwards try and keep the people from watching 'hard ball' when Ann is going to be on. Calling for them to 'boycott' Ann. And when it doesn't work...they appeal to those who buy their 'victimhood'. lol

Is that what the liberals here call 'having both sides presented'? LOL LOL probably....in their twisted way of thinking. They ONLY want their side heard....and no one elses. PERIOD.

Straight from the horses mouth:

"In an e-mail to supporters, Edwards’ wife Elizabeth described why she called in to MSNBC’s “Hardball” Tuesday. The show featured the conservative pundit, who has often attacked Edwards."

---
Elizabeth Edwards said she decided to call the show to appeal to Coulter to stop the attacks.

“I told her these kinds of personal attacks lower our political dialogue at precisely the time when we need to raise it, and set a bad example for our children,” she said. “How did she respond? Sadly, perhaps predictably, with more personal attacks.”

The e-mail is coupled with an appeal for campaign donations.

“Please give what you can right now to help raise the dialogue and show that Ann Coulter-style politics will never carry the day,” Mrs. Edwards wrote.

It is the second time in as many quarters that the Edwards campaign is using Coulter for a fundraising appeal. In March, the 2004 Democratic vice presidential candidate raised “Coulter cash” after the right-wing pundit called the senator a “#*!@.”

[again, Ann did NOT call edwards a '#*!@' as can easily be seen by anyone who watches the actual video of what she DID say. But the liberals can twist anything and they often rely on their lies/twists to present a totally FALSE view to others] Sad...but that's the liberal way.

=====================

My guess is elizabeth wants the dialogue 'lowered' to her level of speaking about her own neighbors. And gosh....I'd bet that HER children heard HER hatefilled talk against their neighbors. lol tsk tsk tsk

Practice what you preach should become the liberals new motto. lol

The only side Ann Coulter is on is her own. You think she gives a crap about the Republican Party? You think they give a crap about her? If so, you are more dense than I thought. Bet you can't find one reputable Republican who would get within 10 feet of her.

In no way was Elizabeth Edwards attacking Ann Coulter, unless any criticism is an attack to you. I don't care what kind of people the Edwards are, no one deserves to hear someone make fun of the fact their son is dead. You lost a loved one. How would you feel if somebody joked you had a bumper sticker which said "Ask me about my dead husband?"

Don't use the typical liberals 'we're the victim here' with me, CC.

If it's okay for the edwards to do the same thing....then there's NOT going to be any garbage about how 'terrible' Ann is. LOL LOL

The edwards started this by calling for a boycott. Do they have the 'right' to do that? YES<....just as Ann has the 'right' to speak out against them and their own actions.

While I know the liberal double standard is rampant.....if it's OKAY for one side...then don't go whining when the other gives it back.

It's called maturity. Expecting the same that you give. The edwards, especially the mrs. has certainly 'given' enough that she only makes her whining quite funny when she can't see she has done the same thing she now calls for Ann to stop doing.

Why? So elizabeth can be the ONLY one doing it? LOL LOL No way, jose.

Want to 'play' in the big leagues? lol Then don't try and hold others to the exact same things YOU [they] do.

Another thing common with liberals that I can clearly see is that they're blind to the actions of their own. But will go ballistic when their 'own' get it back. Screaming and whining about how terrible it is for anyone to speak harshly about them BECAUSE they lost someone they loved.

Same thing happened when a handful of widows from 9-11 chose to speak out on a political level. When they get it back....the other liberals are whining and whining about how terrible it is to 'attack' those who lost their husbands in that attack.

It's like the liberals take some FALSE position that the supposed or real 'victim's should be allowed to say whatever they want to say....but they should then have some false 'protection' where no one can respond back to their comments/etc.

WRONG.....not the way it works.

IF you start it....don't count on it stopping because YOU decide you don't want it to continue. Rather don't start it in the first place.

And in other words....don't do it yourself and expect others not to respond.

All liberals here should be able to grasp that concept.

And how quickly the liberals here forget what elizabeth said when kerry wanted to bring up Cheney's daughter was a lesbian.

======

Elizabeth Edwards was trotted out to suggest that the Cheneys' concern about their daughters' private life being made into a campaign issue was because they were ashamed of her:

"I think that it indicates a certain amount of shame with respect to her daughter's sexual preferences."
========

Then the Cheney's had to set HER straight. Oh yea....let's keep the 'children' out of politics. ONLY when the liberals want to...otherwise they're 'fair game' to the hypocrites.

And they're 'oh so sweet elizabeth' has done her share of attacking others. But according to the liberals.....no one should comment on her at all. LOL LOL

How typically liberal

=================

And to her neighbor....whose family had owned the property he lived on since the civil war.....and the rich #*!@ is putting HIM down? tsk tsk tsk Aren't they better than SOME people. 28,000+ sq ft house. NO they're not.

===

Then of course the liberals were protecting elizabeths hatefilled words by using her newly diagnosed cancer as their defense. lol

===
Elizabeth Edwards: Cancer No Excuse For Unkind Or Crazy
What on earth was Elizabeth Edwards thinking? Not to mention that she looks like a loon. Scratch the sympathy effect for her cancer, the hot air may have just come out of the Edward's campaign. I guess you can take the root out of the nuts but you can't take the nuts out of netroots rude.

Since when do presidential candidate's wives get to use their platform to beat up on the little guy? And the fact that she's likely sitting safely in a multi-million dollar home with security up the wazoo doesn't help her case. This is a disgraceful performance and such a lack of character may cause some to wonder just how shameless were the Edwards's when it came to promoting her cancer for some votes. These are not what you'd expect as the expressed views of a person humbled by a devastating disease. Does she have any regard for others at all? Or only like-minded Liberal drones like the other Kidz from Koz?

RALEIGH --Elizabeth Edwards says she is scared of the "rabid, rabid Republican" who owns property across the street from her Orange County home -- and she doesn't want her kids going near the gun-toting neighbor.

Edwards, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, particularly recalls the time neighbor Monty Johnson brought out a gun while chasing workers investigating a right of way near his property. The Edwards family has yet to meet Johnson in person.

"I wouldn't be nice to him, anyway," Edwards said in an interview. "I don't want my kids anywhere near some guy who, when he doesn't like somebody, the first thing he does is pull a gun out. It scares the business out of me."

But Johnson defended the occasion he brandished a gun, saying those on his land didn't have the proper approval.

"I use the gun for protection, and I considered that an appropriate time," Johnson said. "Sometimes you have to take drastic measures."

Edwards views Johnson as a "rabid, rabid Republican" who refuses to clean up his "slummy" property just to spite her family, whose lavish 28,000-square-foot estate is nearby on 102 wooded acres.

Johnson, 55, acknowledges his Republican roots. But he takes offense to the suggestion he has purposefully left his property, including an old garage he leases for use as a car shop, in dilapidated condition.

Johnson said he has lived his entire life on the property, which he said his family purchased before the Great Depression. He said he's spent a lot of money to try and fix up the 42-acre tract.

"I have to budget. I have to live within my means," Johnson said. "I don't have millions of dollars to fix the place."
=====

They chose to move there....and they warn their children against Americans who own guns....LOL LOL Maybe they'd better actually read our Constitution where we're allowed to own guns.

Unbelievable jerks is what the edwards are. Used the injuries of others to obtain their wealth.....talk about working for the poor....while they insult them and would NEVER allow THEIR children around them. LOL LOL LOL

Can anyone be any more phoney? Not in my opinion. Fix your hair, cinderella, there's one strand out of place. LOL
