coach, 93 degrees at 11:19 with a heat index of 100 (with humidity figured in).
Yesterday was 104 and today is predicted for the same, with a heat index of (I'm afraid to ask), probably 108 or 109.

Hate that heat index---the humidity here on Long Island is uncomfortable too,(the price we pay for living at or near the sea shore) but again we don't have the heat you have in Texas. Keep cool!

I know one comparison I've always remembered was stated by the first FBI agent to 'out' clintons lack of action in dealing with terrorism during his 8 years....
That was along the lines of clinton sent a 'weedwacker' [reno] to deal with the problem [terrorists]....President Bush sent a chainsaw. [military]

Again, I will ask: Why do you have such a problem with the fact that Clinton did not kill bin Laden pre-9/11, yet have no problem with the fact that Bush has had 6 years to hunt him down and kill/capture him, knows that he was responsible for 9/11 and has much more information than we had pre-9/11 but has yet to find and kill/capture bin Laden?

Until then....buy a clue. clinton KNEW where he was.....was offered custody of him...and REFUSED. Could have ordered him taken out....but clinton chickened out.
A much different situation, although it's no surprise you can't see the difference.
We've had a 25/50 million dollar price tag on his head...that hasn't helped either.
But while the liberals drone on and on about our not catching him.....as they did with saddam.....until he was found hiding in a hole.....catching one man isn't going to change much...and it certainly won't shut the whiners up. Those who pretend we haven't been trying to get bin laden....while they aid and abet our enemies by calling for our SURRENDER.
Liberals could NEVER defend this nation....they don't have the WILL to fight....to take the given opportunities when they are right there for them to take.

I hadn't realized that you were a member of the Clinton administration, privy to all this information. Did it occur to you that the decisions Clinton made were for good reason? No, I didn't think so. It is not possible for you to even wrap your head around that notion.
I have been reading about a certain Afghan-American who says he negotiated for bin Laden's head on behalf of Bush administration, but untimately was rejected by Bush. Mmmm, things may not always be what they seem.

All the [dem] candidates are now tied to the position that we must withdraw our troops from Iraq -- yesterday, success of the current "surge" notwithstanding. Several of them imply our exit will miraculously cause a wonderful peace to descend on the region. Those who don't and even some that do, like Obama, take the ridiculous position that though we must "redeploy" our troops, we should either leave enough there or close by to "make sure they (Al Qaeda) don't establish long-term bases there."
Isn't that what we're doing now?
