I have used a scanner to scan pictures before. With a little planning, these photos could be scanned and cropped for each item. There is really no need to have everything showing in the picture. You could lay things out on a table, and leave room around each item, so you could scan the whole photo, then copy and paste the various items into their own picture.

This seller has good feedback, so their items do sell, but imagine how much better they could do with clear cropped photos. This is a case of a seller needing to learn how to use their scanner software. Maybe they should save up for a digital camera from their profits.

Her feedback IS good overall but almost all of her negs are for stained and damaged merchandise, presumably clothing, described as like new.

I think her standards may be somewhat low.

Sorry I am seemingly vague to you. My comment was an afterthought as I should have put the reminder in my post that re-opened this thread. The seller has been invited and may be a member at AW and my caution was to discuss the photo, the auction, but not the seller.

I hope that makes more sense

Didn't look at any of the auctions yet, just read the posts in the emails, but if you think about it, having a lot of your items in one photo is like your own personal gallery.

Wonder how many people went to the auction and saw the item on the table, then saw another item on the table they liked too and bid on both of them.

Maybe it's us who are missing the point!

barrelracer,

Her items aren't even lined up in a row or anything! Just all over the place. Can't even figure out what is what. Go look....

I will never understand bidders.

But...should I ever decide to part with
any of my quilting fabric, it's nice to know that I can take pics of shelves of fabric
from across the room.

Now I know who's been hitting the RGBs ... no fear, I'll just throw a batch on my sterno oven

now, I am stunned! The last piece I would have guessed would have been that folded up piece of fabric ... especially with the "As with all ebay auctions, all sales are final" caveat put in there.

You people are pathetic!! - and mean too!
It is on thing to have a little laugh at someone's expense but this has gone to far!
The lady has her picture in a auction and yet you feel you have the right to mock her over and over!
I bet we could all find things to laugh about in your auctions or homes!
Please show a little decency!

You found the interesting caveat, nobs! hehe(I made mention of it on page 2, but this was before most knew what the auction number was). What it SHOULD say is ... "Like A MINORITY OF eBay auctions, all sales are final!" Mine certainly are not all sales final, and it gives the wrong impression to buyers about eBay auctions.

I think I guessed it first.
But, I never made fun of the lady.
Aren't you guys at all worried she is coming in here and you will hurt her feelings???

Afterall, what could YOU find to sell way up in the Blue Ridge Mountains
(or where ever she is from)

Good luck lady.
Sorry if anyone offended you.

You guessed the cheetah throw.

It was silkmoth who suggested the "beige fabric" under the dog's chin.

As if it is my place to determine the winner.....

Maybe HCQ will request the thread be locked. It really serves no further purpose.

Everyone,

The question, "What in the picture is the item actually up for auction?", has been answered and I agree that the thread serves no further purpose. I'm locking the thread.
