Tribute to Mivona
For the past several years, we have successfully battled with the far right, the lies and hate speech spoken by numerous members either ignorant or members of conservative groups. Mivona who is not currently a poster here has maintained that vigil on other related boards such as OTWA and The Ross Board to correct lies and combat bigoted hate speech with a skill and intelligence that is remarkable.
While this board is less active, you may choose to join or read her outstanding effort on a newly organized board to continue that effort to educate the ignorant and her success in combating the misinformation and bigoted remarks of the right wing element which is predominant there.

....where Mivona with her hands tied behind her back is whipping them all by herself and even keeping SWMNBM subdued.

OH the PUPPY with FLAG motif is just so precious! I read one of her posts and it's the same old, same old..."double standard" "double standard" blah blah blah....not surprising nothing has penetrated that rock she has for a skull..
I've been in another forum and thought Linduh had appeared there but that poster spelled everything correctly ... I think they're paid flaks ...paid by the Democrats to make repugs look really stupid and it works!

The left likes to make up their own cute little phrases, like "illegal" war, funded by Congress, etc. In is then not unusual to revere the personal theories of the world espoused by some wacky socialist.

How soon someone forgets these phrases - "axis of evil", "activist judges", "you are either with us or against us" "mission accomplished". Last time I checked these were not said by the wacky people on the left. Nope, in fact they were uttered by our great cheerleader in chief.

Yeah, that mission accomplished sign hung itself up on that ship just before the President pretended to land a jet on it. Pure coincidence. He never said it. Can't hold him to it.
Just curious, what's a Democrat drawl ?? Is it like a Republican lisp? A Libertarian twang?

I stopped in over there and read some threads. You're right mingo, SWMNBN is banging the same old drum but I did notice that she's put the brakes on her crazy spinout rants. Or maybe I missed them, didn't read the whole thread list. Mivona is doing a great job in reasoned rebuttal, but maybe they need you to get in there and push her buttons, can't imagine it would take much to push her off the deep end.

Thank you Profe and helen.....I AM flattered by your confidence in my ability to set people off!
However, I'm having fun in another forum with linduh's twin sister...yes, there ARE other people as stupid and nasty as linduh....and they all sound the same. That forum is well moderated and LindaK's rants would not be tolerated.
You may not believe this but I'VE been "spanked" there by the mods!!!! ME! Innocent little ME!
I HAVE however built up a nice POSITIVE rep there and enjoy many of the posters who are quite witty and informative.
I checked in here and saw it was kinda quiet so maybe I'll send a few over
Today is "guests, garden, eat my guts out" day...have a nice weekend!

Four years ago today, Bush flew aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in "Top Gun" style, stood under a banner proclaiming "Mission Accomplished," and proudly declared: "Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed."
The event was initially hailed as a brilliant act of White House stagecraft, showcasing Bush as a powerful and resolute leader.
But as time passed, the "mission" was exposed as a delusion. There were no Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. And there is little sense of accomplishment.

Oh brother - there's pathetic and then there's PATHETIC. Helen and profe, apparently unwilling or unable to fight their own battles, attempting to persuade mango to go to a different board with the sole intention to disrupt or "push buttons." Seriously - how old are you people? Sending mango on a little trip, the purpose of which is to disrupt, purely for your entertainment as you sit on the sidelines, strikes me as something beyond babyish.
I hate to burst your immature bubbles, but your little plan to help yourselves feel superior by sending mango to TF is never going to get off the ground. My unsolicited suggestion is that you all take a look at the barren wasteland this board has become and ask yourselves why.

Since you are a reader of this board, you should know that among the Democratic members of this board, only Mingo enjoyed an occassional feisty repartee with Linda.
So, Fiset, if not Mingotree, some other button pusher will come your way and then you too may be entertained.
