I was a bit disappointed that the moderator didn't press Palin a bit more to answer the questions.
BIDEN: but if you notice, Gwen, the governor did not answer the question about deregulation, did not answer the question of defending John McCain about not going along with the deregulation, letting Wall Street run wild.
PALIN: I'm still on the tax thing because I want to correct you on that again. And I want to let you know what I did as a mayor and as a governor. And I may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear, but I'm going to talk straight to the American people and let them know my track record also.

From our grown son, 38, this morning:
New verb: to Palinize. The meaning is nuanced, but it has to include at
least these three:
1. There can be no actual content whatsoever to your answer/statement.
2. You've got to include a stomach-churning wink and phony "folksy"
attitude.
3. You somehow manage to roll that into a package that makes you sound
competent to anybody who doesn't have two brain cells to rub together.
I didn't think it was possible, but that woman is harder to watch than
McSame. I really should have donned my HazMat suit before the debate.
