LD, you need to worry more about picking up your next hobo trick, than worry about Texas.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.George S. Patton

Oh grand wizard wannabe, I think you have to worry about loosing your ability to buy bullets for your precious guns than my need to find a trick.

I thought Bears went into hibernation toward the winter, not come out from one. As usual Bear, you have things backwards.

Most Voters Say Town Hall Meetings Should Be for Congressmen to Listen, Not Speak

"At town hall meetings on the health care issue, most Americans say it’s more important for those in Congress to listen rather than speak."

"Fifty-nine percent (59%) now say the town hall protesters are citizens reflecting the concerns of their neighbors. That’s up ten points over the past month. "

did someone in another thread elsewhere say that Town Hall meetings should be for Congressmen to speak and not listen?

I could really care less what happens at the town hall meetings. Nobody other than activists and old people go, which is hardly a snapshot of what the country actually thinks. (most of the country would refer to the people you see in those meetings are nutjobs anyway)

If you only listen to the people yelling the loudest you'll usually just realize who the biggest morons in the room are.

It's impressive that the congressmen even show up to these things, it seems like a massive waste of time. You aren't going to be educating anyone because everyone there already have their minds made up (probably for them by whatever radio/TV host they worship) and you aren't going to get any actual constructive criticism as those who go are just hoping to make the o'clock news in their hometown.
