Helen, I'm not sure if I would use the word 'sympathetic' when talking about what I saw of his human side. I looked at the site you mentioned and yes, I believe it's the same guy and I think he had some kind of perception of reality that finally broke through and he seemed to be on the edge of it when he was last posting here. I got the impression he hadn't come to terms with it and had been heavily influenced by the c&p'ers for too long. He did have a sense of humor too so the poking back and forth between us all was mostly fun and games for me.

Also interesting on that site is the one person who is so highly educated opposite the one who constantly copies the talking points of others. He really has a way with words! So I see what you mean when you talk about the interaction and dynamics. I don't have time to keep up with everything these days - when I did ebay it was all just a click away.

"Profe, I'll agree with your comment about SWMNBN because she seemed to care for no one but herself, but 12Pole was human at times. Perhaps you had to be female to see it in him. "

At times human versus brute...I suppose I can agree with that.

Humans are rational and brutes are irrational so "at times" is about how it was for me. Probably very few times but it was there enough to leave a lasting impression - or maybe I just miss the abuse.... ha ha

Then again some brutes can become humans and there are news stories daily showing some humans turning into brutes, doing horrific things.

Helen, do you mean brute as in beast - like a water buffalo or a rhino?

Or....... Et tu, Brute? - pertaining to chat boards where there is an ultimate betrayal among close friends at times.

Kiara, I hope that you know I've been joking.

I suppose I was right when I suggested that twelvepole might be playing a game...Here, in a closing statement, he admits that.
And of course it validates your opinion, Kiara.

Twelvepole said,

"Have to admit kraft is the only one who almost guessed right about me, I didn't believe most of what I posted, but loved to post for effect... sorry if that upsets some of you... but I gave each of you a board to bounce your convictions and ideas off of. If we all agreed it would of been boring...

Me too, Helen! I was thinking of all the 'brute' things I could so that saying popped into my head. Maybe I have a strange mind but it made me think of all the boards that mutated from AW and it seemed like everyone was fighting and betraying their online friends and it never seemed to end. After awhile I lost track of most of them because it got old.

Off to read your last link......

Come on... don't be so hard on him. We all know he's weak and not very intelligent, but maybe his blow up doll walked out on him or something bad.

I noticed that too, Kiara. After one of the participants threatened suicide, the brutish war became a cold war or maybe it just went underground. In the meantime those boards are floundering around without subject matter.

Helen, I don't remember the suicide threat, I lost track of many of the players years ago and forgot lots of it also.

Perhaps some need to focus on this beautiful picture of a peace sign and read 5 Methods to Finding Personal Peace on Dr. Jason J. Campbell's site. For now, it's one of my favorite pictures.

http://jasonjcampbell.org/blog.php?blogId=115

I found his site from an article he wrote on the war in Afghanistan the other day (it can be found under the 'blog' link). His credentials - Assistant Professor of Conflict Resolution and Philosophy.
