Your web site should have an area called something along the lines of "File Manager".
In that area you simply create new folders & title them ie: ebaypics
Then, when you FTP your eBay auction pics you just have to make sure you have chosen that file for your auction pics.
Your URL will then look something along the lines of;

reddeer, I also recommend GOBACK. It saved my butt a number of times.
toke, I'm relieved that reddeer was able to help you because, unfortunately, I'm "Netscape illiterate".
corrdogg, I also have way too many bookmarks from LockerGnome. LOL The other site I really like is SON OF SPY http://www.sover.net/~whoi/Sofffffffware.html He HATES adware and spyware so I trust the programs he links to on his site. Here is his quote about spyware:
QUOTE
"Spyware sux. I will not link to it, I would not
list it, except to provide a service/statement to the
effect that people shouldn't download it. In fact, I have
decided to come out against ALL ad-supported
software and will begin systematically removing
the links to it from my site."
END QUOTE
I have two more auction related programs to share and then I promise to go away. Both of these programs were developed by a 17 year old kid from Finland. I don't know about you but I was too busy partying when I was 17 to find time to do anything else. His EASYCLEAN registry cleaner is one of the best out there and is highly recommended by most, if not all, of the computer gurus.
The first program makes thumbnails in BATCHES which is a great timesaver for anyone using a gallery option either on their auction page or their website. The thumbnails can be any size you want and the program also includes the ability to use different colored framing to go around your picture as well as linking to the originals. It comes with an excellent help file. I think this is really neat!! http://www.saunalahti.fi/tonihele/ethumbe.htm
The other program is an HTML editor which includes a HTML Wizard and an Imagemap Helper. You can design auction listings or a homepage in a snap. It's very easy to use.

All of his programs are 100 percent FREE and have no adware or spyware.

Hello,
I have MS Office 2000 it came with my computer. I use the web folders and my site is Front Page enabled. It's easy to use and there's lots of helpful info on the MS Office site.
posted on March 22, 2001 01:26:20 PM newEmpires, I'm glad you brought this thread up again because there's a lot of useful info here.
I know I promised earlier that I would quit but I'm going to add a few more helpful sites anyway.
http://www.draac.com/ This is one of the absolute best sites for HTML tutorials and building a web page. It also has lots of free stuff including a large selection of page layouts for your homepage or even an auction template and you just choose the one you want and copy/paste the source code into Wordpad or some other text editor. Also, if you use WebTV, this site is a MUST because he has a separate section devoted to WebTV users.
http://www.cast.org/bobby/ A free HTML validator that is useful for checking your page for errors before submitting and it also gives you the page loading time along with a breakdown of each element's loading time so you can correct the size of your photos.etc. if they're taking too long to load.
http://www.htmlhelp.com/tools/validator/ A free site that validates the HTML on your page and ALSO gives you the entire source code of any URL you submit which can easily be copied.
http://www.doctor-html.com/RxHTML/ This is another free page HTML validator with many options including a spelling check. The only drawback is the site's requirement for ActiveX to run so I use Bobby instead.

Just a quick tip for those of you who start making your own HTML templates.
If you use HTML Tables, be SURE to check the results in Netscape. Netscape doesn't like ANY missing </TR> or </TD> or </TABLE> tags. If you're missing one of these, Netscape won't even display the table.
Although Netscape doesn't have a very large market share for browsers, that one buyer who absolutely MUST have your item may be using it....and they may be viewing a blank page.

You bring up a very important point. But, with regards to:
Although Netscape doesn't have a very large market share for browsers
My ME page stats on eBay prove otherwise. There are thousands of eBay users that use Netscape as their primary browser, including moi. Check the AW thread below.
