I to come back ever so ofter to read the post. Not that I miss AW but I had made friends here and some of the post are very informative. I see now there is a move on that if you are not a AW user you have no right to post. Is that AW's position to?? I left because the FVF were not fair and I must admit I had trouble launching so seen no reason to pay. I have always known AW will not allow people to speak freely you must watch what you say and the way you say it or smack. AW does not say on its front page the number of of auctions it launches and as far as I now there is no way to find out. I would have found it interesting to see the numbers before the fee's and after the fee's (Someone now's but they are not about to tell.) Well I have noticed that the posting's have dropped and alot of the people I talked to have gone so that tell's me a little. Does anyone thing AW will ever give out the numbers? Then the guestion is why will they not tell us? Have a nice buying/selling day Oh I forgot AW is not a auction site.

Hello Everyone,
Several of you are posting saying you cannot say anything against AW without getting your post deleted and then you say something against AW and your post is still there.
This is not Ebay related and I will let it run for a bit longer but it will be locked soon so you can post in the Services forum.
Locking a thread because it is in the incorrect forum is not a new thing.

Well, it appears that the CG's have been revised.
"8.3. Deleted Messages. Although AuctionWatch is not responsible for any content, we may delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You are solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you will indemnify and hold harmless AuctionWatch and its agents with respect to any claim arising out of or related to your message(s). We may reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising out of or related to any message posted by you.
8.4. Locked Threads. We may end a discussion, lock a thread, or remove a thread if, in our discretion, we believe (i) the discussion has become unproductive or combative, (ii) the topic to be unnecessarily dominating the Message Center, (iii) the discussion to be harmful to the AuctionWatch Community (this includes opinion polls), or to the business of AuctionWatch, (iv) such action is otherwise appropriate. We may close a thread at the request of the originator, though we may keep the thread open at our discretion."
I don't recall these sections being worded this way...

Joice, may I ask what happened to the 17 out of 24 posts that were deleted by Chris form the thread on the 13th? (UPDATE: Bill Plan Change -- Image Hosting -LOCKED).
Then there was the two follow-up threads complaining about the deletion of comments that were locked immediately afterwards.
I have no problem with the locking of the thread as it was critical of AW and their fee structure, but why were 17 of the 24 posts deleted by AW? Why not ALL of the posts?
Perhaps you are technically justified in locking this thread, as it is not specifically ebay related.
However the issues addressed here are serious ones. Perhaps your argument that there are some posts contained herein that are critical of AW, yet they remain undeleted is somewhat hollow in light of the fact that many of us have had posts removed in recent days that were not against community guidelines or destructive to the community in any way. They were intended to be a call for instant attention and positive change. Problem is, AW is not listening...or if they are, they choose to proceed full speed ahead without consideration to the damage being done.
I, for example, attempted to post 2 threads in the proper "services" area a day or two before the new fees were implemented. Both were simply attempting (perhaps with the use of some sarcasm that bit a little hard) to point out the fact that AW had shown no signs of being ready or equipped to handle the issues associated with becoming a pay site.
My threads, the original entitled "Chaos to ensue on the 14th" were mere forecasts of some of the problems that were apparent to me to be sure to arise. These problems had not been adequately addressed prior to the fees going into effect, nor have they been adequately addressed since. My threads were not only locked, but I have to assume completely deleted, since I could never find them again.
After reading all the posts about the problems being actually encountered by AW's fee-paying customers since the 14th (and especially today! ) I would have to conclude that chaos has indeed ensued, and that AW just doesn't want to publicly address the real issues involved.
The moderator who deleted the selective posts in the previously mentioned locked thread pretty much admitted as much. Stated to the community for all to see was that it was not the moderator's decision to delete these posts, but an AW management decision. The heat must be really hot in the newly remodeled AW kitchen.
