I suppose this is an important discussion to someone - who uses what colors, or has what logo doesn't sell or not sell items. I only care which auction brings me buyers, the rest is a management problem which I could care less about - and couldn't change if I did care. eBay is a prime example of being unscrupulous, but they have buyers, and that is what sellers are seeking - all the rest is "business as usual," and I see it makes no difference to my wallet.

Actually jwpc it is important because it was validation.
Yes a lot of companies are shady, unethical, but is this what we are supposed to expect?
I put in my time at BidBay and attempted to make changes via the normal means. I emailed the staff, I spoke with them on the phone, I participated in the chats.
But the band played on and continues as the water rises oh so higher over there.
Users told me I should leave, BidBay deleted my posts.
Once again it is validation.
Finally these little missteps are costing them as they can't avoid the truth.
They were caught with their hands in the cookie jar so to speak and can attempt to deny copyright infringement however they want to but the fact is they have changed the templates, and removed the logo. These are not the actions of an innocent until proven guilty party.
They also violated the "quiet period" as required by the SEC by announcing on their website how much their company was valued in one post and how they were going to buy up all auction sites on another.
The first post with the value remark was zapped almost immediately after the insert foot in mouth remark, the other lasted for well over 24 hours but was eventually zapped. Once again not the actions of an innocent until proven guilty party. But the actions of someone who is concerned about their own.
So yes it is important. It is important to someone who has been called a "scary online person," a "disruption," among other things by the members of that site and it's owner because I pointed these and other truths out.

Why does it seem that any time something is posted in here in defense of Bidbay that they are warned or yet kick off. If we are members why can't we defend ourselves. You keep slinging that mud and we keep wiping it off.
