Why don't you whiners just quit selling on Ebay.

That's not only what they need and deserve but it is what will be needed to get the dozens of fledgling auctions some decent traffic.

Then I suppose you'll just complain about those auctions and their new fees and how difficult it is to post on so many different auctions and how traffic is down and buyers don't pay and on and on and on and on..........

AW has turned into CC............Crybabies Corner.

It's me [email protected]

Boooo Hohoohoohooo, poor me, pity me I sell online, Pity me I have to pay fees, Pity me shipping is too high, poor poor me, I can't get boxes free unless I pay priority shipping, priority is too high, WWWaaaaaaaa, now I have to go out and gather boxes from dumpsters Waaaaaaaa I don't want to pay high shipping but why can't I have free boxes and why does AW and Ebay and the PO and Yahoo and everybody else have to get a cut of MY profit??? Wwwaaaaaaaaaa, snif, snifffffff, booooo hoooo hooooo hAaaaaaaaaaa. I should make more money on what I sell I can't afford to pay all these fees. WWWWaaaaaaaa. Please stroke me so I feel better. Tell me I'm right and they're all wrong. Tell me I should get paid fairly for my products but I'm paying too much when the PO charges me $4.80 to drag a box all the way across the country for me. Tell me Ebay is charging too much to put my product in front of countless active buyers for a whole week. Tell me paying 10 cents extra for a 10 day auction is a crime. Pleeeeeeeeeeease. WaaaaHaHaHaHa, sniff, sniff, gurglesnort!WaHaHahaHaha. Stroke Mehehehehehe{;^X

Grow up. Think about what you are complaining about. If you don't like it then lump it!

Sometimes I think sellers and/or bidders from Ebay have way too much time on their hands.

If you like it calm, peaceful, and quiet, why do you keep opening the door to the circus?

I have been coming here to this message board for years to gain valuable information from the other sellers. But peachypie is right there are way to many CRY BABIES here.
Usually it is the people who think a $50 auction is a biggie and who put $5.00 items up for sale. eBay is trying to get rid of you. You are what they call "Clutter"

peachypie

As you are aware, it is a violation of the Community Guidelines to post under multiple IDs within the Message Center. Given that the 30 day suspension your original ID received is over, I have reinstated those posting privileges and revoked those of "peachypie"

I would remind you that reinstatement of Message Center privileges automatically places you on 30 days probation. Any violation of the CGs during that time may result in the permanent suspension of your AW privileges.

I'm all for open discourse but we all have our problems and know the pros and cons of online selling. If you need advice that's fine and dandy, most people here are happy to oblige but the insecent whining over and over and over again about the same things is getting real old.

Got a question? ASK. There are no stupid questions. We all had hurdles in the past and if we can help that's great but save the drama for your momma.

Is peachypie going to hand out the cheese to go with the whine???

It's either the huge eBay snafu or a full moon, 'cause some folks are getting just a mite touchy here lately! I wonder how many more threads are going to get locked and suspensions handed out tonight....

BTW I guess I must still be a newbie, because I'm a little confused about people calling each other a "troll." The only trolls I know of are either from fairy tales or those cute/obnoxious little dolls with frightful hair coming out of the top of the head (OK, OK, I did own a few when I was a kid!). Is there a different meaning to "troll" when using it in a computer or auction sense????

I await enlightment from you informative auction gurus........

What is a troll?

"The common Usenet definition: Somebody who is "trolling" (as in fishing) for someone to take the bait. People who take the bait will become engaged in an exchange with the troll while those who recognize a troll in action may simply sit back and "enjoy" the action.

Many trolls say they serve to "lighten up" Usenet.

Some trolls profess they promote freedom of speech, tolerance, and variety of discussion.

Others simply believe Usenet is a place of "anarchy" and intend to be "anarchists."

We believe trolls generally fall in one of three categories:

Mischievous: Humorous intent, not abusive. Could be a "regular" who changes names to play a good-natured prank.

Malicious: Intending to be disruptive or hurtful. May be somebody who opposes a particular view, belief, or lifestyle and attempts to be disruptive in that group's newsgroup. Could also be someone who's a sociopath, or somebody who's previously had a confrontation in the group.

Mindless: Often a juvenile who is "having fun" at others' expense. Could also be somebody new to Usenet who believes they're "anonymous" and is role playing Or "having fun."

The last two groups include long-time trolls, some of whom are part of a group or "brotherhood." They might be best likened to online gang members who seek to impress others of the gang or become part of "troll history" or a "troll legend."

There is a fourth category--
Magistrates: Generally, these are people who've been online for some time and recognize a pattern of behaviour in a newsgroup and take action to address it. For example, one person may be dominant (an "alpha male," if you wish), attempting to control the group. A "magistrate" may appear and assault the alpha male--for the purpose of instilling a little humility. Or a "magistrate" might confront mailicious trolls. Some of these "magistrates" visit a variety of newsgroups, keeping an eye on events.

The best advice for handling trolls: Ignore them, use a filter. Deny them what they seek: provoking others. If they can't find the attention they seek, they'll usually leave to seek better fishing elsewhere. "

There are different meanings for troll.

When somebody calls ME a troll it's the cute fuzzy kind.

When they call anybody else a troll I guess it means they are "trolling" for something. Kinda like fishing.

I don't think some people really know. They just say it because they know it's a negative term.

Wow, hardoutfit, what a wonderfully complete definition! Thanks a bunch--now I'll know what you folks are talking about.

Horizonod, I guess it's a good thing you're outta cheese--I'm not feeling in tip-top shape tonight, and I might have to make use of brooklynguy's puke smiley! BTW I don't know if you mistakenly thought the two N's in my name was an M, or if that was on purpose...hmmmm...are you qualifying for hardoutfit's first category??? (BTW I have a friend who, when we sometimes meet, asks me where I've parked my broom. Are you sure I don't know you????? )

A catagory 1 troll??!!

Nope, not me. I just said something I thought needed saying.

Take a look around the board and see how much bellyaching is going on.

Agree or disagree. Doesn't matter.

As far as me knowing you?? Do you know me??

How do you know it's me??

Sorry, Horizonod, I meant NO offense to you--I'm so used to my good friend joking about my "broomstick" (he's shorter than I am, so it's the closest he can safely come to implying I'm a witch--all in jest), that I saw a good deal of humor in your "McBroom" nickname and thought it was an odd coincidence! I did NOT mean to imply that you qualify for one of hardoutfit's categories!!! (Actually, I focused on the words "humorous intent," and that's all I was thinking about as I wrote my message.) Maybe my friend is just channeling his "broom" thoughts your way.....(Twilight Zone theme is appropriate here)

I think I need more sleep to be coherent!
