Hi Cin Many sellers, myself included, leave feedback when payment is received. I print my invoice and shipping label, leave feedback and send a customized email via ebud letting the customer know the payment was received and the anticipated shipping date using ebud. It takes twenty seconds and has garnered me some great feedback and a reputation for outstanding customer service---which translates into more sales.
In almost 2500 transactions I've had a handful of problems after the sale---most involved slow postal service and all were solved quite easily. My feedback is heading toward 2000 and I have a very high percentage of repeat bidders. One bidder means you sell at your opening bid---two bidders make it an auction. Why create an adversarial relationship with someone who could be bidding in future auctions (and increasing your profits)
I've had my share of deadbeat bidders and slow payers but that's part of doing business. I really don't understand the anger the so many people hold toward their customers.
As a customer I would think less of a seller who held my feedback "hostage" and wouldn't buy from them again.
